Can you actually read a received fax on a 9500/9300 or do you have to forward it to a regular fax(efax or landline)

This is a major buying decision!!!

No, T9 dictionary, key board too small for the hands on no big screen on the front, very heavy on the weight, can't fit in the top pocket, just good for using the phone as a handsfree on the table, not as a mobile.

Class A! Amazing except that it's really heavy & long to fit into a trousers pocket. The front screen too could have been wider just like the 6600 / 6630.

My WLAN Network is using 128bit WEP key length. My 9500 only has 40,104,232 bit key length. Does anyone now how i can configure my nokia for 128bit.

Great phone, this is my 3rd communicator, had 9000 it went swimming, still have 9210i & 9500. Had the 9500 for about 6 months now. This is a business phone with a huge talk time & constantly travels the world & performs as expected everytime. Awesome performance out of nokia bluetooth headset also. Only things missing, vibrating alert & radio. They just keep getting better. Can't believe all the neg reviews, bad apples in every basket, I suppose. I'd buy again without doubt.

I own a Nokia 9500 phone and it is one of the best phones i have ever owned... But the only problem is that its a bit slow compared to the I-Mate PDAs. I hope that Nokia will make a new model like the I-Mate JASJAR and maybe better...

shahnawaz do you actually own a 9500 or just 'seen' one as you say ?? and don't you work for the Nokia call centre ??

Still no firmware upgrade available for my 9500....takes 2 full minutes to show the 'enter pin code' message when booting the unit...CRAP.
Last week I purchased a Hewlett Packard 6365 for $799 from Computer World and in a word - EXCELLENT ! Compared to the 9500 - there is no comparison. HP6365 is FAST, WIFI works FAST, touch screen, zillions of apps on the net. One draw back on the 6365 is the speaker volume- small speaker - small output.( handsfree I am talking here not ear speaker )

If ANYONE is considering buying a 9500 DO NOT DO IT...the phone is a piece of untested CRAP.
Check out FIRST the HEWLETT PACKARD 6365..

                                You wont regret it..

So , Nokia where is my working firmware for my 9500 ?? have you sacked your beta testing team yet ?? Get your developers back in Finland and turn out a QUALITY product---- PLEASE.

General question to the group here , on WIFI how long does your fully charged battery last while using the browser etc.

                                regards to all,

NokMan ( maybe soon HpMan )

The nokia 9500 though funky is a phone with great features. Iam phone freak and hve used almost all phones in the world but i think the 9500 is a great one expecially the wifi. I have connected it to my wireless router and it works fine. You only need to know your wep key for the router you have and bang your communicator is wireles. I check all my mails and browse a lot on it. I don't even care if the phone part is off. The wifi is cool. I even posted this message from my 9500 on my bed. My7610 is my primary phone since the communicator looks a bit bulky as phone. I mostly use the 9500 as a hany browser around the house.

When running my GPS module LD-1W it frequently locks-up and hangs the entire 9500 handset. Does anyone know of a reason and/or a fix please?

this is absoulutly marvelous mobile set
                                      which i have ever seen
there are lot of features which can be expected by every person of this era
but it is little bit expensive so no matter that it is expensive it has great features in it we can have fun alot
