NOKIA'S BUSINESS PHONE THAT LETS DOWN THE BUSINESS MAN. No HID profile so it cannot be used with these funky new portable fold up bluetooth keyboards - not even their own! Don't Nokia realise that people are going to want to use such ad-on's or do they think we all have miniture fingers and can still touch type on a keyboard the size of a cigarette packet! Get your act together Nokia or you're going to fall even further behind the competition, the 9500 doesn't even have a spell check to pick up the mistyping caused by the keyboard being so small, why not it's predecessor did? I give up!

Hi all.I've been using 9500 for 3 months.Recently been using P900,P910,9210,7650,7610,6600,3650,sgh-v200,v3688+, and a lot more including PDAs like compaq 5150 coz i'm a phone freak guy.In my experience,I dont think P900 and P910 is very good tho.The battery cant last for a day and the memory stick is really expensive.Just the sound it produces is nice.In terms of software,i think are the same as other symbian products. So far,i like my 9500 and make full use of it including wi-fi with agile messenger. The battery also last longer than my 9210.The keyboard is not too small like O2 IIs or Treo 600.The only problem is when i play games too much (i like playing golf pro tour);sometimes it restarts automatically and a bit bulky. It's not a problem to me.Maybe the built in RAM (cache)or whatsoever is low so it restart. And so far, this is the best phone i had that never fails me in terms of flexibility, reliable and very user friendly.I never overcharged my phone anymore using the desktop charger with sync button.I used desktop charger since my nokia 3210 in 1999.Only a few models dont have desktop chargers that sometimes i have to remember to unplug. So much functions and runs with no problem. To solve slow refresh rate problem like slow in opening message, try to decrease total sms in your inbox and stop using large size of mmc/sd.I recommend largest for a mobile is 512MB and if can, use lower like 256MB.If not,buy extra mmc/sd for other purposes (video clips and mp3s).Just my opinion.Sorry if hurt anyone feelings.Thanks...

I bought one on contract and that was 3 weeks ago, I have since had it replaced twice and , my supplier has now agreed to supply a new phone 6680. I changed from the SE 910 which was really good but the 9500 is useless compared to the Sony Eriksson. Software problems, and the phone locking out.

Answer to Battery uestion:
Battery of Nokia 9500 lasts between 3 - 4 days with normal usage. Whereas Nokia 9300 fully switches off after 2 days. Baterries of 9500 and 9300 differ in size and power. Nokia 9500 has bigger battery.

Nokia 9500 is very good for the time being. But lack small bits like vibration, 3G, T9 and so on. Heard 9500i is the next release with T9 and vibration.Am not sure of 3G.Camera will be advanced with mega pixles. Device expected between late Aug.- Nov.2005. Nothing new still expected to replace 9300 models.

9500 .It battery needs some work
I wonder if Nokia remembers their best phone the 5100 for its battery life.
The battery was the back of the phone and not some flimsy cover they put on their nes phones....Nokia go back to those type of batteries as
1) They work longer
2) The make the phone a little sturdier.

I bought the phone just 2 days ago, and I have used about 10 hours to try to make the wireless system work, all in vain. The wireless network does not work at all, no matter which combination of settings you choose. It is impossible to connect to anything using a normal Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router. Nokia says it is the fault of the Linksys, but they are wrong, everything else works perfectly with this device. If Nokia goes on refusing to help I will return the Nokia 9500 to the store.

Previous comments state software is useless. Not true. Use nokia pc suite to convert your word/excell documents and you can access them on the Nokia 9500
