Phenom phone that functions as an effective communication device. Not as bulky as I thought, can fit in my front pocket. Likie driving a Camry with a Hemi in the engine. Had considered a P910 and the IMate PDA2K, but this device blows them off the road!! Great e-mail ability, love the option of selecting WiFi or ATT Internet when connecting to the web, other feaqtures are pragmatic and operate smoothly.

Shortcomings? It would be nice to have a lighted keyboard for night driving. Oh, unlike earlier promotional literature, this phone is cheaper than the 9300. Purchased both to make my selection and trust me... there is no comparison. The 9300 is too compact and a pain in the a-- to use the keyboard. As my clients have stated, this is a computer with a phone.

Well, Is a Great Phone... But I wish Nokia coud think little more about People need now days.. i mean why they have not tought of a better Camera in this Phone... Come on i know its good Camera, but it could be better if it was 1.3 Mega Pix. Second, Why its Bulky...I guess if 9500 was in the size of 9300 it would be more better to handle around. Third... Im sure in next few month we will have 9400...I mean we Have 9300 and 9500....where is 9400.. is it going to be a new phone feat"ing all the things thar 9300 and 9500 dont have.Like a God Camera.

i've been using n9500 for the past 4 mounths now.. and i think its the best phone out there.. i'm not saying its perfect (what is?!) but if you have the money i think its worth buying. the bigest draw back is the processing speed. its a bit slow. but with all those feature i wouldnt complain. besides you still could bare with the slowness of the phone. secound draw back is the batery. if you only have two bars left.. you better charge it or else that phone will hang like an apple on a tree. ohter then that evethings normal.. one more thing, i love the Wifi and the camera.. the camera has a great resolusion.

I think the Nokia 9500 is unique because it is the first phone that is able to view webpages in full and open up through the side as well as have two screens. It also could act as substitute for a laptop because it has all the laptop features, but what i like to ask is how do you use the internet on it. It says my GPRS is not subscribed to how do i subsribe it.

I will not go into comparisons between IPAQ (6315) and Nokia (9500). I have them both. I will just say the following. Both units have their pro's and con's and should not be compared as they are VERY different in style, operating systems and hardware makeup. Its like comparing Apple against Windows. Its a no win battle. They both have their strong points. I like both units (6315/9500)and use them extensively, but on/for different applications. For messaging (all) I prefer the Nokia 9500 BUT not when it comes to handling and viewing attachments. It falls behind the Pocket PC unit. The biggest drawback on the 9500 is the speed of processing, and the biggest drawback on the HP is the stability of the Pocket PC operating system, which in time, I have little doubt, will be superior, but for the meantime seems the Symbian guys are ahead with a tried an tested platform. I have had not a single crash with the 9500 but daily with the HP and I am on my 3rd unit already. I said I was not going to make comparison :-) My parting comments are both units are great and serve their purpose, which is to be a portable communication voice and data device!

If you want a touch screen and vibration...then lets compare apples to apples....

The Nokia 7710 would be a MUCH better comparison to the iPAQ. In fact, it BLOWS the iPAQ out of the water.

Kind of makes the iPAQ look a little rotten huh?

Attn: Dave Totays (& everyone else without a clue)

Lets go thru your INVALID points:
                              1. 9500 has 11Mbs on WLAN, vs 801Kbs for the Ipaq

                              2. The 9500 has 80Mb of USEABLE & EXPANDABLE memory vs. the iPaq at 55Mb. So more than 25% of memory out of the box.

                              3. The 9500 has an INTEGRATED qwerty keyboard vs. the iPaq having a "clip on" qwerty. LOL

                              4. The 9500 has an MP3 player vs. the iPaq which does NOT.

                              5. The 9500 has faxing capabilities vs. the iPaq which does NOT.

                              6. The 9500 can view webpages in FULL VIEW vs. the iPaq and all of the other phones on the planet CANNOT.

                              7. The MSRP is NOT 1/3 for the iPaq vs. the 9500. Currently is is $799 (9500) vs. the iPaq's $499. So, the actual difference is ONLY 38%. You also have to figure in the FACT that the 9500 is brand new, has more functionality, more memory, and is a better phone. The iPaq has been out for awhile, and just like the INFERIOR iPaq, the price on the 9500 will come down to $499 within a couple of months.

I guess SOME of you still will not want this phone (9500), because after all...it doesn't have "vibrate"... boohoo

Brilliant phone everything a techie needs.
Anyone looking for a "stylish phone" go away as this not for you plain and simple!
So people slating this phone coz its ugly go get a designer phone which is inferior and ...well... useless

The review doesn't even mention the Hewlett Packard iPAQ H6315!! This iPAQ has all the features of the "great" Nokia 9500 and more!! Most importantly, the iPAQ costs one third less while offering more features. To mention a couple: touch screen, vibrator. How one could overlook the iPAQ when comparisons with other phones are made is mind boggling.....

This phone is the a brick. It looks like one and it weights like one. The design of Nokia phones is getting really bad. Look at brands like Samsung or Philips. These Korean and Dutch guys know how a phone should look like. Common Nokia you can not be serious with this.....
