I was there in the glory days of Nokia, my last one was the N8, and it was awesome.

I don't know how, I don't know when, but I will buy this phone, and it will be epic.

If the screen is the way it seems, that's it for me.
Long live Nokia!

No respect for me as a (potential) buyer? Well, no respect FROM me and no buy.

Not even an under display camera could convince me to buy a phone with out a headphone jack. Ok, maybe I could live without one. But I like having one just in case. Fine, an under screen camera would be just the thing to rub in my iPhone-loving friends' faces!!!

Fabiana, 15 May 2020808 PureView had 1/1.2 inch sensor, still larger.OK. It is correct. But I was remembering 1020 specs only. So finally a Nokia phone with bigger sensor than 1020 pureview is correct statement

At the moment, I currently have a Nokia Lumia 1020 and Microsoft Lumia 950 serving as my daily driver. I personally had tried out upper midrange and flagship Android-powered Nokia, but none of them can lure me away from both of my Lumias. I definitely have high hopes for the 9.3 to deliver a Lumia-like photo quality, although I do wish that Nokia would reignite their brilliant oversampling technique as they did with the Lumia 1020 and the 808 PureView back then.

P.S 'Oversampling' and 'Quad Bayer' are a completely different animal altogether despite the pixel binning nature.

I've seen a lot of photos where a native telephoto camera produced far better detail than the cropped photo out of the main sensor. I've put some link showing the detail difference between 3x zoom and 5x zoom photos of the Huawei P40 Pro on my previous comment, so you can check it out.

You'd be crazy not to spot the detail difference. Heck, even Android Authority made an article explaining such case: https://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-mi-note-10-camera-zoom-1050441/

                        What HMD should do :

                        - Go for 90Hz screen instead of more expensive and power hungry 120. Uses software tricks like Sharp to decrease to low Hz (like 10) when static image is displayed or typing messages.

                        - Order custom 16MP 1/1.4" instead of gimmick 108 for main camera. Use a 16MP 1/2.6 for ultra wide and 16MP 1/3" as 3x zoom. A ToF to help the AF.

                        - IP68, gorilla 6 on screen and carbon fiber back, usb 3.2, BT5.1

                        - SD865, 8GB + 128/256GB + sd slot

                        - 4200mAh + 25W

Anonymous, 16 May 2020What's Nokia track record with Android updates and software? Extremely great, almost all of their phones since 2016/17 are up to date with the latest android, mainly because all (if i am not mistaken) are on the Android One program. Also they are still expected to receive updates for a good few years. One of my friend's Nokia 7 plus (a 2017 phone) is on Android 10. So don't worry about software updates.

Hoseberg, 16 May 2020I hope it came with 12 gb ram It can't be done with 12 gigabytes of RAM. Processors will consume much more. The battery will not be enough. The offered RAM is enough for the 108 Megapixel camera.

I hope it came with 12 gb ram

Nokia, a brand that has always focused on low-end budget conscious phones (y'know, those prepaid ones you'd find at a 7/11), has now moved into high-end flagship territory.

When I think of a Nokia, I always think of function over form. Never thought I'd see the day where Nokia would remove the headphone jack.

If even the most utilitarian phone brands (like Nokia) are becoming more "hip", then the smartphone industry has really become so tedious.
