I own Lumia... moreYeah, i actually liked the simplicity of tthem, and speed nothing could match the smoothness of the nokia 520 at it's price point. I find it sad, that microsoft did nothing but moking Nokia and really never bothered to actually maintain it's ecosystem.

All i can say it is a niche device, so you have to keep that in mind. If you really like photography and to play with the options it will do you good, but if you like more the point and shot ideea, maybe is not the best for it. I takes great shots, don't get me wrong, but it is at another level if you have experience. I do not want to let you down, just so you know not to be let down. To summ it up fast, it is not made for taking pics at a beer party, more like for those with a lot of patience and passion for photography.

I would go ahead and try to grab one now. I would be thankful if you can share if you have any other feedback regarding camera department . That's the primary area of interest for me.

I own Lumia 520, 640, 640 XL, Lumia 800, Lumia 950, Lumia 1020, each one of these had one thing or the other which was too good even if we don't talk about their awesome build quality. Touch navigation, slow motion videos, true HDR, huge camera sensor, etc etc. Glad that some people do respect and appreciate the windows portfolio.

So... moreThe camera performance was not bad, the problem reviewers complained about, was always the background proccessing. And that it still takes about the same time to proccess as i first got my nokia 9. The camera interface is now snappier and more stable, but the CPU can only do that much. If one takes shots at a very fast pace after 10 shots their will be a glitch because the CPU gets overloaded and directs allot of it's proccessing power towards finishing the oversampling.

Phone is called Nokia, n... moreNokia always innovated but with windows they did even more, devices like 1020 920 925 were so feature reach that devices this days after years of "innovation", brag about that like is their own, and well it is not. You might have not liked windows phone, but nokia's were great devices and had a lot more then any in the competition.

So if I am right, the camera department is working better now surely. These results are applicable to raw or potrait shots as well or normal mode clicks ? I read somewhere that clicking raw or with bokeh enabled for later depth mappings made camera performance even worse .

Bad fingerprint, tedious when picture is processing, bad night mode ... but I understand: it's HMD, not Nokia.

Bog Dan, 03 Jun 2020My Nokia 9 just updated yesterday to May security release, ... moreYeah, great update, sadly my only complain was not debugged as with a third pary launcher, the android 10 gestures are not posible and somehow the combination between the third party launcher and 2 buttons navigation is still clumsy and has glitches, and frankly niagara launcher is miles ahead of the stock launcher i would not settle with anything below that. HMD really needs to debug this problem.

The first 10 were fast to take but at the 11th, camera freezed for 2-3 seconds. After this I immediately took another 6. As for the processing time it has an average of 7s/picture at 15% battery left. Hope this helps.

I promise you - it makes all the difference! It is faster than before and nothing to complain about. Don't know about the on display fingerprint sensor as I don't use it. Everything else is stellar for this phone which I bought last year here in Romania for ~330EUR/370USD

cozmo, 26 May 2020ok you want to tell us that nsx is a good phone that fine,b... moreAhem... I also own a Vivo NEX S though it is simply known as Vivo NEX in India. The phone got launched in 2018 for $675 though I bought one for $320 in 2019. It has good rear cameras no doubt, optically stabilized. But I do not think it can beat the Nokia 9 on the imaging front and its versatility as a camera smartphone. I do not own the Nokia 9.
I believe both phones have their pros and cons like in all other phones. If you are a music lover like me, NEX is the phone for you eyes closed.

Andy Walsall, 30 May 2020The Fast Charging does not work among other thingsWhat do you mean, is not working? Fast charging activates only when you do not use the device, if you use it while charging, fast charging deactivates to preserve the battery from fast corrosion. Yes android 10 has made the device a bit with "hiccups" when using other launchers, should be tough good, when using it's standard. I also hope their will be a fix for third party launchers, but apparently it is a googles fault.

My phone is sim free and is running on giff gaff network
