I've been waiting for this phone for over an year, using my old broken ducktape-fixed Xperia, just because of my high expectations for this one. I honestly didn't care how much this one would cost, as long as it was as good as I expected. And the camera setup really looks impressive.
However, I have to say that I am fairly disappointed after reading its specs, as there are three MAJOR FLAWS with this phone that make me want to reconsider buying it:
- no dedicated camera button (a must-have for every real camera-phone);
- no adio jack (a must-have for every real Nokia phone);
- no FM radio (another must-have for every real Nokia phone).
These 3 epic fails seriously make me reconsider getting this phone.
It seems that HMD has a rather wrong business strategy, as instead of trying to be different from what the other brands offer, by going for all the things that Nokia fans would expect of a Nokia phone - the things that would make it better and different than all the other crappy phones, it just follows the mainstream trends in putting all kinds of totally useless "extras" like fingerprint sensors and wireless charging, while removing totally useful things like the audio jack and the FM radio. The awesome camera and the well-built aluminum frame body are definitely a step in the right direction, but it will take much more than that to push through all the competition in the current market and stand out with a truly unique device - the extraordinary, the non-conformist, the ingenious, innovative, yet classic, standard-setting real Nokia flagship.

    Sometimes you read comments of clueless people who don't understand how pure android works, how HMD has optimized the software of this phone, the work put in to make that camera Awesome! Always ready just to bash anything! I can assure everyone many people will be suprised how good this beast is going to be.

      Disappointing phone to be the Nokia's flagship.

      Where is the Zeiss lenses?? Where is the awesome Pureview that I checked in Nokia 808 ??? Where is the dedicated button in a camera phone like this ???

      For example today LG has presented the **LG V50 ThinQ 5G** and is a real monster in everything where this Nokia has nothing to do.

      As always Nokia, since it is from HMD arrives late and badly, with this flagsip of the year 2018, but not of the present day.

      What a pity!

        I believe they could have added at least one wide-angle camera instead of 2 simple color sensor. And what I don't understand why the step back from the 4K front facing camera to Full HD. Anyway, they have made something others have not, so keep up the good work Nokia!

By tapping the phone when taking a picture -- you already messed up the focus and other things. I would add another flaw: no xenon flash light. I don't care bout these dual LEDs. They are pure garbage. Still miss my broken Lumia 1020 with decent zoom, picture stabilization and stunning classy pictures. I never cared about the bump on that camera. Instead everyone was asking me what kind of camera I used and they were stunned to discover that it was actually a phone too! Now it is a main stream phone. However, I still want to thank NOKIA and HMD for making this phone. Yes to real photography, yes to cool design, yes to 5 cameras, yes to solid aluminum body, yes to gorilla 5 glass, and yes to Nokia being unique phone yet again.

                        i never understood why low end devices have 4000 and 5000 mah battery but high end have 3000 mah.

                        surely that batter wont last long on this device

                          This phone is limited only, a number of Nokia 9 phones will be produced and once it's sold out, it's sold out.

                            This camera phone sucks, I knew that it'll be disappointing. Even chinese companies are better than "the new Nokia". Waiting for P30 Pro.

                                    In 2019 you don't need 3,5mm jack to listen to radio using headphones....

                                    Good phone.
