Hi! I am thinking of buying this or the Samsung Chat 222. I am only concerned about the messaging and calling functions, music player, and alarm functions.
For the nokia asha 200 users, is it true that the alarm clock volume is too low? what if I use an mp3 file as the alarm tone? will it not solve the problem? does everyone experience the echo problem or those who have the newer models got the problem fixed? any other problems with messaging?
I'd appreciate the responses and additional comments. Thank you very much.

Hello friends, just bought asha 200 last week, I must say it is a good budget phone however I noticed this morning to my utter surprise that while playing music , I cant skip to the next song or go back to previous song. If I scroll right or left with the navigation key, it does not respond. Also if I allow the present song to finish, it wont enter the next until I go back and select the next song. Is there a remedy to this issue cos I find it frustrating selecting the songs manually, since it has to be automatic? Your response is needed ASAP. Thanks.

[deleted post]No. Its is very weak phone. Cannot even support MP4. forget about video streaming. There is no support for internet too.

very third class phone by features, video not run at net, some images and vidio clips also not running.

I will not recommend this phone. 1. Phone does not have edit playlist option. You can not view playlist. If you have added any song and want to remove song from playlist, you can not do that.
2. Alarm clock volume is very low.
3. You can not mark and delete messages. you need to delete one by one or entire conversation.
4. Quality of earphone is not good

Vishal, 27 Oct 2012cant edit contact in nokia asha 200..what a tragedy...u can't edit because ur contact numbers are in sim memory, try put in the phone memory.

Don't buy nokia asha 200.
there are some demerit' in this device like.
1) MP4 video's not play well ( mp4 not support).
2) hanging problem.
3) privacy lock is not avaliable so you cannot lock your personal data.
4) streaming is not avaliable so you cannot watch online video.
5) some animation image is not support.
6) while opening a file it take some time.
So don't buy this device. It's better to buy samsung brand. Samsung is better than nokia.
