I love this phone. I had to choose between Samsung Galaxy Y and this, but I chose this because I've heard bad reviews from my friends about Samsung Galaxy y. Although, I've held a Samsung galaxy before, I'm still wondering if Samsung Galaxy could have been a better phone. But I love this phone (Nokia Asha 300). It's so user friendly. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for the price. The only thing that bothers me is that I cannot install a PDF reader, which would have been not an issue had I bought the Galaxy Y. Any help on this? Does anybody know how to install PDF reader?

In 1999 or 2000 I purchased a simple, basic, phone, a Nokia 2100. It did everything I needed but it was slow, the text was hard to read (perhaps my eyes don’t see as well as they did back then) and write; and, then Nokia stopped manufacturing the necessary battery (In fact the old phone hasn't had a genuine Nokia battery in years). So, in 2012, I decided to up grade to the Nokia Asha 300 with the MP3 player and great 5 megapixel camera (What a joke!!). In fact, the reviews I read before my purchase congratulated Nokia on making an ‘intuitive’ phone/ smart phone combo, retaining all the best features of predictive text and decisive directions of earlier phones, etc. Unfortunately, I find that all the advertising for this phone was simply a LIE. This phone is definitely not ‘easy’, it does not follow the Nokia standards set earlier and it is definitely NOT ‘intuitive’.

Foolishly, I expected the instruction manual to be helpful and in plain English – it is NOT. I also expect the phone to retain BASIC Nokia features, such as the ‘inbox’ and a simple ‘reply’ option (it has a delete option BUT NOT a reply to sender option) so that I can respond to my messages without my having to contact the Nokia Help Desk to say, where is it? (I still haven’t been able to find the ‘VIEW’ option, listed in the training manual on page 34! - it's one of the least coherent training manuals I've ever read!!!)

I was also told that the game ‘Angry Birds’ was pre loaded on the phone but it is NOT. So, I thought, OK, I’ll down load it from the Nokia’s Omi Store but No, it took ages but it won’t let me!!!! (The message said that 'store' ‘failed to down load’ - what does THAT mean???)

I absolutely HATE the pre loaded duff, duff music (The Butterflies’. In the Sunshine’ and “Sleeper Cell’) So I thought, surely, I can get an app that will give me some descent music, perhaps some soothing J S Bach but NO, see previous point.

I am NOT very happy with this new phone.

Nokia phones have power save mode too I don't think that its battery back up is not good. I have been using Nokia phones I still do not face any problem about its battery and its quality .
