the asha 300 isn't better than the one yeat older nokia c3-01!!

All around the websites and forums it is widely reported that asha 300 got a real bad battery. And not all of its due to charge cycle.
I wonder what the real backup would be. Would it be a real bad one like my x2 ?
Anyway, its not due to processor, as its a midp device it cant utilise any extra processor speed like smartphone os's, other than what its needed to run the phone, which in reality is not at all needed as s40's as being java midp device work even in the lowest specification available. The only possible use of the clockspeed would've been multitasking, but thats missing here too.

i think that i coult put on it an windows mobile, becose a 1 gh precesor it is really nice for a phone like that

I shall write it like kid ;)
Before first charging cycle you have unlocked just 15% of full capacity.
After first charging cycle you have unlock 75% of full capacity.
After second charging cycle you have unlocked 80% of full capacity.
After third charging cycle you have unlocked 83 % of full capacity.
...
After tenth (sixth, seventh, eight, ninth - sometimes it is different) charging you have unlocked 100% of full capacity.
It is problem of every accumulator.

Cedar is much,much better if this crap Asha is not giving you multitasking even with a 1GHZ Processor.
Who says you cant play a 2mb game on it?
I've run a 13mb Java application on it.

Got to try this phone today at nokia center. Is it just me, but this phone seems too slow for 1GHz processor, even some 500-600MHz android can run faster
oh, and what a cheap looking!! Nokia should hire new staffs for their design department! Good specs with ugly design is an absolute no-no.

hey frnds who said galaxy y s camera quality is poor .it is like 3.2 mpx.and sound quality is average in speaker7 but awesome in head set.it has android 2.3.6 but nokia300 has s40...being a nokia lover i changed my mind last month inspite i am owning a nokia x2 and c5

After having used this phone for about two weeks, I can recommend it to anyone who wants a really good basic/feature phone. Some points:
*The phone looks and feels nice. Don't judge it based on pictures alone, go and see/touch it yourself.
*The touch&type interface works well.
*Battery life is good.
*The external speaker has surprisingly loud and good sound quality. You can listen to music with this phone without earphones and actually enjoy the experience.
*The internet browser is surprisingly good for such a basic phone.
*Good and realiable call quality.
Overall a very nice phone.

It is a symbian phone with java in it.
In detail it is symbian40 (s40) device. Not a smart phone and we can't multitask.
Well i am always a nokia lover. But 1ghz for s40 seems awesome with 128 mb ram. So no hang problem.
The only thing i hesitate to buy this phone is there is no multi tasking. Otherwise ok..
And hey wreck i have been reading your comments. I know how you had been cheated by nokia x2, i am in the same position with my nokia 2730 (bluetooth issue , java apps etc problem..)
so i request you to give a authentic comment coz i don't think cedar is better than this. So can you please explain how cedar is better than asha 300. Coz i think 1 ghz processor with s40 and 128 mb ram combined should offer better performence than cedar.
And how to know the java heap size they support. Like u mentioned games more then 2mb doesnot supports.

AnonD-13154, 16 Dec 2011This phone got very low java capability in comparison with ... more2MB for Java? You don´t know anythink about this phone. Flash and java aplications can use 4MB RAM memory and they can be bigger than 60MB if they don´t need more than 4MB RAM.
