The problem with the battery of the Asha 302 is caused by Whatsapp because the app is always on, working on background. Many people are complaining about that across the internet, So, it isn't a problem of the phone or the battery.

Misquitas, 07 May 2012Believe it or not, I too have been a Sony fan for many year... more

My point was always that, you could not predict the future as easy as you could just predict the interface. You could give them your vote of confidence all right. But, it's quite useless as they've already got the one from their own, isn't it? Of course, so as Samsong.

Nokia could give us much more reliable and durable sasha 302 as they, forgive the expression, stupidly installed the 1ghz CPU 3G system without improving the short battery life. Nokia could give us sasha 302 with the same price as C3. They should give us a hope as "Asha" stands for. So far so good!? Nope.

I am rather happy if Nokia give us a simple hint or clue that one would easily understand where Asha would go, instead of so predictable old-fashioned business style which they've been giving us over the years. Unless otherwise, one day, I would buy Samsong's new ch@t series phone as they give us a better understandings.

                                P.S.
About the touch screen things. If Nokia would make the Windows non-touchscreen QWERTY phones as Microsft give them a permisson, yes, I am sure Samsong would make the one. Hard to believe that they would give up the touchscreen so easiy, though.

Nokia Asha 302 yet to have Mail for exchange software ! It is yet to ready for download ! This is phone is useless till then ! Only mail for exchange can add value to this phone as cheapest push mail phone when it comes ! NOkia says second Qtr of 2012 which is already started ! Wake up nokia and save this phone before SAMSUNG eat this also !

Anonymous, 07 May 2012 Your comment reminds me of my friend. Years ago, he loved... moreBelieve it or not, I too have been a Sony fan for many years and I too have switched to other products. Not because Sony in is a mess of its own, but mainly because they too have lowered their cost to compete with cheaper, lesser durable products.

From my experience with reliable technicians across various brands, I have found out that neither Samsung or LG are all that durable and rugged brands. But cheap, they are and they have flooded the market with a slew of models.

So, is Korean superior? I don't know. What I do know is that Korean products are popular. The Korean surge (Samsung, LG, Hyundai, etc.) has taken over the market once dominated by Japanese products.

The main reason why I like Nokia phones is their simple easy to understand menu system. I like Nokia because when I buy another Nokia phone, I know that I will not be bogged down by an alien interface and a complicated menu system. I don't have to analyse the user manual each time I buy a Nokia phone, as they invariable have a predictable interface.

I believe that the Nokia 302 will be no different and hence, my interest in that phone. Heck, I don't mind even considering another "outdated" Nokia E5 since it too is a non-touch, QWERTY phone.

I'm not averse to an android phone and I suspect that I too will end up sometime in the future with an android phone, that is, if Nokia cant compete and survive. My question is: Why cant leading manufacturers offer a non-touchscreen, QWERTY android-based OS phone?

Somehow, I don't believe that the Nokia Asha 302 is a thirsty phone. A non-touch, non-android, non-LED flash, non-multitasking and an "outdated" OS cannot be as power-hungry as many may suspect it to be.

For now, I tend to give my vote of confidence to Nokia, because as its Hindi name "Asha" suggests, there is "hope" that Nokia will fight back with all its might and reputation.

PS: As of now, my Nokia X2-01 has a crack on the plastic cover over the screen. It is, however, working flawlessly and I doubt the situation would have been the same had it been a touchscreen phone, be it Nokia or otherwise.
