NEMO, 29 Aug 2013yes, same problem here.I'm having the same problem. I went to Nokia service center, they acknowledge the issue and said it is user's fault. Bull shit Nokia care.

For making and receiving calls and text messaging fine but any so called smartphone functions Nokia 501is useless. Do not believe everything you see here because some of them are written by marketers of the products. Be wise

i dont know how and why nokia call it a SMART PHONE. its such a money waste. nokia please to make a smart phone is no more ur job please try ur luck in some other segment

I bought this phone couple of weeks back. You need to understand that it is not a complete smartphone. I enquired with Nokia and they said whatsapp would be available shortly in this phone.
Gmail, LinkedIn are wll working fine and no hanging during internet access.

Superb handy phone, one of the best that I have brought till date. Excellent battery life, good applications, super fast, excellent touch screen..What else can I ask for at Rs.5000....

Its a dubba phone no net connection not good battery back up, not full option to do any apps, nothing in it. Nokia only advertise it as good smart phone. I think Govt banned to nokia. not good software nothing in nokia phone.And service of Nokia care wrost.
