Anonymous, 21 Jul 2013Why u compare N73 with this budget phn...Because N73 released in 2006 & we r in 2013.The former was discontinued 3 yrs ago & the hardware is low than 501.Should I not expect atleast the same features in 2013?

Good job nokia, excellent feature phone, i'm very satisfied with it.
I'm waiting for the next updates of the software, i hope will bring a minimum of skype(audio calls)

In the last 3 days, NOKIA ASHA 501 dropped 4 times from my hand and 1 time in cold water.
But I was surprised to see....!!!!
My cell was still working perfectly. First I thought that my money got wasted, but when I put the battery after one hour in the cell, surprisingly it was working. That's the NOKIA.

I have just joined GSMARENA to pass on my review on this Phone. I have used this phone just for a day. This little monster has really blown every low end android phone out of water. this phone is THAT good. Bought this phone for PKR 9200 which is roughly USD 92. i have listed few of its cons and many of its pros.
CONS:
1. Ovi Store not as good as Play Store
2. No Whatsapp, Viber or Wechat supported (as for now)
3. Average Camera result for 3.15MP
PROS:
1. Wonderfull design, one of the best looking phones on the market. It is Cute with so many vibrant colors to suite your mood and personality.
2. Super fluid touch, no lagging.
3. Its not just FASTLANE that makes this Phone Fast, it is whole UI which makes the usage quick.
4. Excellent new FASTLANE.
5. No lagging, fast Internet browsing and connectivity.
6. Beautiful and simple User Interface. This phone is just SIMPLE. No complications of options and sub options.
7. I never thought i would say that but i love touch keyboar of this phone. You can change it to Number Pad or type in normal keyboard mode.
All in all, SIMPLE-FAST-SEXY. Nokia has prove once again that they are not done and they are back with revenge ;)

what an daily interest.....s4 beaten by 501....that is 90% costlier than 501....think nokia if u saved ur meego os and giving pureview on it and support of android apps....then ur unbeatable in daily interest....so try to get new os like ubuntu....if some asha series use symbain then too good so dont kill ur own os....come with new series like ur old n series.......
