i just bought my nokia asha501,and i didn't find memory card in the casing or in cell as mentioned on the casing.so what should i do now??

Now remove your SD Card (Memory Card) and keep the Sim Cards as it is in the phone.

Go to Settings create BackUp and Reset the Phone.

Now, the phone will be automatically switched on. Again switch it off and put your SD Card and turn it on.
Open Internet (Nokia's pre-installed browser) and in the address put the address as, 'www.WhatsApp.com' and download it.
Hope it works.

sbk, 24 Mar 2014Wow very nice phone and cheaper price.I have this phone for... moreJust bcoz it supports regional language or has whatsapp , duzn't means its a good phone . Im using it since last year August or so , and i found that there's hardly any useful app available for this phone .
The current video player is the worst , often the audio goes off for a few seconds while playing vids. But when i play the same vids in my friend's galaxy young there's no audio loss.
Also small resolution vids like 176x144 are being played in full screen in asha 501 , thus making them blurry . . . In samsung wave , small resolution vids are played in its original resolution , and so they don't get blurry.
and i can't even show my phone to my relatives or family members bcoz this pathetic phone has no file/folder locker that runs without internet.
The ones available in Nokia store runs with internet and i don't use internet all the time.
Few days ago i took my phone to my network provider to buy some of their services , and the lady was using my phone to show me how to use their services , and i was lucky that she didn't clicked on the videos section since there were many files which i would have locked only if there was a decent file locker available on nokia store . But nokia store has nothing but junk garbage apps that are best suited for 5 year old kids.
I was also looking for a winrar/winzip but nothing of that sort ;(
Nokia has become the worst phone manufacturer now .
Now they have released their X phones . They say its an android phone , but they won't let you access google play store . Great going Nokia . Your doom is very near . Only a fool will buy your X phones.
I mean in the price range of Nokia X plus , i can get a good samsung or xperia where they will let me access google play store.
I hope my message will be forwarded to the nokia team.

But how to read in pdf files.?Bro we can see pdf file by using pdf viewer which can be download from ovi store
it is a good phn but the only prblm is this that it has low internal memory

Wow very nice phone and cheaper price.I have this phone for last four months .I purchased this phone from KSA.that's why It doesn't support indian regional languages.Now I reached my home land india.Last week I changed the phone software from nokia care .now it supports indian regional languages including malayalam.battery charge is awesome. Friends go ahead.

don't even think of buying this phone. you can buy better phone for the money you waste on this crap. OS doesn't support and even don't let you download commonly use apps except whatsapp crappy version.

Awful , I sincerely regret that I had bought this phone. I've been using basic nokia phones for more than 20 years, with dual SIM on the last 5 years, because I have to live in two difrente countrys.
I've lived very well with my nokia C2-00 for the last two years until it went inside the washing machine. I bought one Asha 501 an realise that this is worst than a basic C2-00. I can only copy the contacts from phone to phone or PC phone, but the agenda and notes are impossible to copy and the worst is the computer conectivity... impossible!!!! no nokia softawre can comunicate with this phone. I can´t send MP3 files or any other files from my pc to my phone or even back up my phone. Why this was not mentioned on any internet review?!?!?!!?
Once and awhile this phone gets crazy and everybody that calls me tell that they are hearing themselves in echo, and I have to restart the phone for it to work properly.
No pc connectivity but usb cable is supplied. Cable connectivity software available in nokia web site but is useless the only thing you can do with this cable is charge the phone baterry!
.... never buy this phone. After 20 years I will move forward and get out of nokia.

It does support WhatsApp - available via the website or via the Ovi store. I've been using it since November when it was announced. Its bit basic - no copy paste of text, interoperability between text and WhatsApp, directly WhatsApp-ing someone from Contacts etc
But you can share all media, download. Even sharing multiple pics at once from Gallery is easy - which was not available in Nokia 720! Group Chat etc are available.
Phone is pretty good for its price actually. If budget is your constraint, I really recommend this "smart" phone
