AnonD-149571, 05 Nov 2013This is largely disappointing. Volume very low. Touchscreen... moreunderstand your frustration but not all are capable of spending three times and buy a phone and those are the guys who will be happy in whatever they get...i am happy with this phone as my secondary phone.

This is largely disappointing. Volume very low. Touchscreen buggy. And app choices extremely limited. Had this for 6 days before getting Nokia to admit there is a problem, and was able to upgrade at the place of purchase to an HTC Desire 500. The Desire costs three times that of the Nokia, but that is the price for a modern smartphone experience.

If ur installer already jar,but when u install n open the game,u touch the screen,it not move.. Ur installer does not support touch.. I suggest u try to find game for smsung corby.. Game for corby same for asha..any prob,ask me

my nokia asha 501don't support java games i download from outside of ovi store.i download and install games sucsessfuly that games don't run.

Best phone in its category easy interface and dont worry whats app will get updated via air through next 1.2 version soon , Nokia has confirmed it . Samsung and apple are worst.

I badly wanted an app like adobe pdf reader or any other app that would read pdf files , but sad , nothing like that.
and most of the junk apps available on nokia store OR ovi store whatever you call it , needs internet connection to run. I mean i wanted a file hider app , but the ones available in nokia store needs net connection everytime it will be used. That sucks :(
* Other than that its a good phone , the sound quality is quite good , if not marvellous.
* The videos also plays fine , until i noticed sound loss in certain videos , which would play fine on other phones like samsung with no sound loss.
* The camera ain't that good. Pics get blurry once you try to enlarge them even a little bit.

I have the red nokia asha 501 and so far i was quite satisfied with it , until i came to know that while playing certain videos there was sound loss for few seconds.
I mean , i download videos on my PC , rip/convert them according to my phone screen size (320x240) and rip them to the format that my phone supports (mp4/H264/3gp). And then i transfer it to my asha 501.
But while playing few of those converted videos on my asha 501 , there was sound loss for few seconds. I also noticed, if i pause & resume the video at the time of sound loss , the sound would again come back.
Now lemme tell you , most of my converted videos play fine , but only few of them having sound loss.
Now its not my fault when i converted the videos on my PC , coz when im playing the same converted videos on my PC , there is no sound loss.
I also tried to transfer those converted videos to "Samsung galaxy Y" which also has a 320x240 screen res. and found out no sound loss.
Anyone else experienced this ?

Hi NOKIA ASHA 501 users/lovers,
I am using NA501 from 16th July, 2013. And each and everyday, I wake up and thought that WhatsApp will be available today on my device. But, every time I get disappointed.
First, it was coming in the month of August, then 16th October and now 3rd November, but everything is useless. Still WhatsApp is not supported on our NA501.
I would only like to say you all that, don't buy again any NOKIA Mobiles, they all are useless.
NOKIA make Mobiles with OS like Windows(Lumia Series) and Asha Software(Asha Series) where we can't share Games and Apps to other Nokia user (Asha to Asha, Windows to Windows) like the feature available in Android (Android to Android).
No better apps and games available, many games can be played only by Net.
So, guys don't buy again NOKIA phones.
I am going to sell this worst phone and buying any other Samsung-Android device.
