looks good strong,good battery life,reliable and safe from viruses a common character of a java phone......seems it would be a nice backup.......

i am using it for about 1 month. its a good phone but there are a few flaws.
1.we cannot record a call
2.many video like 3gp are not compatible.
3. viber and Skype cannot be installed.
4. Camera does not give good quality pictures.

OK...... as per i'v been using this phone since a while.... n m finding it to be 50\50%.... it got good touch screen.. it got good operating system.. but y not about the music playback option???????_____ no equilizer setting.... no sterio option...... n it does'nt support an image of big mp OR KP.... PLIZ PLIZ..... i being a costumer of tis phone.... beg the authorities to kindly release alll the updates in the following weaknesses .. we the comsumer of your phone .... kindly reqesting to supply alll the necessary updates for this phone.... pliz release an updates for all the following lists:
1. music playback option
2. image unsupport problem
3. proper updates in opera mini..
We hope that the authorities of this wold kindly solve all the matters really soon inorder to attract more costumer or consumer of this company........

Asha 501 is a nice phone with good battery backup, wifi support and the drawback is that it doesn't support whatsapp till date. But it will be available very sooner as nokia has announced that whatsapp will be available for dual sim Asha phone also. Other then that, it supports other application like WeChat an LINE, that are quite similar to Whatsapp.
Also you can update your software by searching them in the Nokia store, open them and click on Update button.

Via usb cable………its have not support ovi suit and nokia pc suit……..so don’t buy this mobile its a
Waste of money rs 5200 rupees…………..

nasim, 24 Oct 2013it's very niceI'm already having difficulties in copying contact to 501 phone memory from another phone. after copying u cant find them in the phone book.The USB is not having any communication with my PC but only for charging. I need solution soonest. I can't say that 501 is good b/c there are some programs it doesn't accept installations.
