Dr.Vee, 19 Jan 2023I've always been a huge fan of Nokia but now I honestl... moreI think HMD R&D + CEO are too elder person, that's y they can't think properly.
We like this display size. but other specs are (cpu , battery capacity , and other) worse. We are missing qualcomm and mediatek cpu.

Micro USB in 2023? Are you kidding? Even the cheap knock off vaps or gadget eg, mp3, light sticks, cheap game toys worth under 20$ uses usb C, therefore this one is nothing but an E-waste! Nokia isn't moving forward but rather backward...

TheLeftovers, 18 Jan 2023at this point Nokia should relaunch 6.1 plus, 5.1 plus &... moreNow nokia is on track.
          01. Display size : really awesome (can work with single hand in busy time).
          02. Cpu : really bad (unisoc latest is much better 11nm).
          03. Capacity : for android go edition required more than 2gb for latest android 13 (better minimum 4gb is better than old 2gb also lpddr4 is good and no need virtual memory).
          04. Battery : 5000mah is need for 28nm unisoc cpu.
          05. Charger : 18-25W charger or usb type c cable slot needed.

Come on Nokia. We like the 6.3 inch display size only and other specs are only average.

I've always been a huge fan of Nokia but now I honestly don't understand what they're upto. All those years of smartphone market dominance and then they come up with nothing but garbage. 😕

But at the same time, let's not force them to make phones with great value for money until they become stable enough

HMD, if this "NOKIA" C12 Phone, is an example of the phones that you are going to produce this year, you 'd better change your business type to: Vegetables' Seller..... I mean, come on, we are in the year 2023, NOT 2015 ..... 2GB RAM & 3000mAh is WAY below par, for 2023.... Get up to speed, ASAP....

In case you wanna know WHAT I would recommend for you to make, is a device (Phone AND/OR Tablet) with the following MAIN (2023) specs:
(1.) Chipset: Snapdragon 780 or better (but: stay with Snapdragon Chipsets for this one!)
(2.) RAM: At least 8 GB
(3.) mSD Card Slot, FM Radio w/ RDS & Recording, and NFC
(4.) 6.4" Display with at least FHD Resolution, LTPO3 AMOLED, w/ 144Hz Refresh Rate
                            (5.) 7000 mAh Li-Po Battery
(6.) Factory-Unlocked Bootloader, with a DEDICATED Setting (in "Menu" > "Settings") for toggling Root (su binary basically) Access On/Off at the User's will , AND
(7.) A (somewhat, at least!!!) reasonable price

Then, you, HMD, will be selling like CRAZY!!!

The phone doesn't look too bad, but the SoC seems like a poor choice. 28nm in 2023 is a little ridiculous, they should've at least gone for some 14nm chip or better. Octa-A55 CPUs are kind of justified at this price point I guess. Even my A5 2017 with 8 higher clocked A53 cores (2GHz, overclocked) is starting to get a little slow, so this is not really a phone to keep for the future unless you have really low performance standards and are willing to wait 10 seconds for an app to open just to sluggishly find your way around the UI.
Better to buy something used at this price point.
The only saving grace is the removable battery which is pretty unique, though not too uncommon in budget phones.

                                      I just realized the Nokia
Nokia C31 4GB 128GB 4G Smartphone unisoc 28m processor with full version of Android
                                      Is £104

That's the same price as this
Why are some of Nokia own smartphone modals priced so badly when others are more reasonable priced

TheLeftovers, 18 Jan 2023at this point Nokia should relaunch 6.1 plus, 5.1 plus &... moreThat would actually be a good Idea as it is cheaper produce a smartphone out of parts that already exist

I think releasing old smartphones but take advantage of already existing manufacturing industry would be good way make less expensive smartphones

I don't see why not too make improved version of old models of smartphones

If they had of released the Nokia 3.1 with mediatek 6750
But maxed out the supported ram

                                        So 2023 Nokia 3.1 4gb ram & 32gb storage
running android 10 for £99 in today's market

I would honestly buy this smartphone again too have better version of smartphone I know and am familiar with
