So you named your c2-01 as cedar and cedar as c2-01.
The inbox or message folder didnt crash.
The browser had'nt ever shown 'out of memory' unless its opera mini 5.2 beta version which performs so in all phones and even they agree got a bug and re-launched clearing the bug as version 6.0.
And pls dnt say cedar's audio quality is poor. Coz its quality is really good but its the speaker a 62.5db unit that underperforms like in 5230,5233.... So saying it got poor audio quality you just painted yourself and agreed you dont own cedar.
You know something. I used to do a lot of you (bashing the other even if its good) until I had to jump out of my nokia x2, purchased cedar, almost dumbed my x2 excep for torchlite and got shocked after watching my friends c2-01 performing like a cheap micromax...
NokiaS below 5000 phones were awesome a few years back, with phones like 3500,3110... I still have them with me. C2-01 cant even match them except for screen size and resolution.

And a heavy duty battery like c5 and a multitasking fast interface like a smartphone (nt s40, true smartphone s60, android...)

I have a nokia 6151 (~ 4 years old), and I'd like to change it by a similar cell, no touchscreen.
In nokia, the only similar one I've found is the c2-01. Is it better, worse or equal than 6151?
Do you recommend me some other one, even not being nokia? Thanks

i have got both SE cedar nokia c2-01 besides I have also a bunch of smartphones like milestone c7 5800XM.ok c2 has got a sluggish interface that opens everything in a snap whereas cedars got really a hreat interface with lots of bugs in it you would really spend alot of time thinking what must have caused this or that.also messaging c2-01 is way sluggish as everything goes on well.but in cedar I really enjoyed when a message receoved gets corrupt or the messaging app gets closed automatically-I really liked this feature of AI.AND i really enjoyed even more in cedar that when u try to open some webpage you get smartlooking 'OUT OF MEMORY' thing this feature really made my day,really.but in nokia c2 u put in the address and hit go and it opens webpages like it should-what fun is this isn't it boring!!!.i also enjoyed cedar's sound quality which always made me think were it the flutes or drum sticks.but c2-01 did below average it really played like my mp3 player songs played as if I m in a concert. not a big deal,eh??
so you have got all reasons to choose SE over NOKIA.

All the features of the nokia C2-01 handset are obiously better than one of the best phone of other product...but the phone in network work relatively slow...

This is a great budget phone,but i cannot update the software from 10.5 to 11 i live in the uk
It says i already have latest version.
Anyone know whether any networks let you update?

C2-01 is a bad phone even at this price.
Never mistook it as the best 3g phone in 5000range.
My 1st phone is nokia 3110, 2nd one is 3500, 3rd one is x2 and 4th one is SonyE cedar.
I dont own c2-01.
But have limited experience of it as 1 of my friend owns it.
He choosed c2-01 over cedar thinking of 3.2mp camera and lower price.
Heres c2-01 with x2 and cedar.
Audio quality is really poor, as if its a radio.
X2 got outstanding loud speaker, but got below average clarity,
cedar got the feeble speaker but good audio clarity.
Headphone output is poor in c2-01
Below average in x2 but the high treble and no bass makes it irritating
Crystal clear output in cedar.
Screen quality is very bad in c2-01, just tilt the phone a little and its colors are completely mixed.
X2 got better display with fewer sides showing this .
Cedar is best among them with just one angle doing it.
Sensor size is very low in c2-01, usually as megapixels go up , sensor's size and quality is doubled, it hasnt happend here.
A single image takes a 20sec processing time ; interpolating from a lower sensor.
Same goes with x2.
Cedar got a real good sensor like in c5 and 6700, and captures colors vibrantly but fewer resolution.
All three phones record video in qvga resolution.
C2-01 is 15fps, max video bitrate 680kbps
X2 is 18fps max video bitrate 880kbps
Cedar is 30fps max bitrate 1480kbps.
Video clarity in c2-01 is real bad due to poor display,
After 600kbps the phone starts slow-motion play and no clarity improvement
880 kbps goes in x2.
Clarity improvement upto 3248kbps when increasing video bitrate in cedar.
Video resolution.
Both c2-01 and x2 plays qvga resolution only.
360x480,320x360,360x640,480x640 are not supported. Any size more than 320x240 is a no.
Cedar supports any video size upto 640X640 resolution
Battery is ok in c2-01 stands the least for 28-32 hours under heavy usage.
X2 really lacks battery backup maximum 12-15 hours even under normal usage.
Cedar got a stunning battery backup with very least 56-59 hours, even with heavy use including 11.5 hours of net.
3g speed is very low in c2-01.No hsdpa and hsupa. Whats 3g compatability without them?
Cedar supports hsupa and hsdpa 3.5 and 7.2mbps.
X2 isnt a 3g phone.
User interface.
C2-01 and x2 use s40. Both phones got just 64mb ram to run a OS likd s40 making them slow.
Cedar use sony proprietary java interface. Comparatively faster.
S40s doesnt multitask, adjust brightness or geo-tag the photos taken
Cedar multitask, geo-tag and can adjust brightness.
Every detail given here showed up when me and my friend tested these 3 phones.
Check them for yourselves if you doubt.
At first I didnt believd when I heard a sony phone better than nokia phone. I always had a thing for nokia phones since all my prev phones were nokias.
But after buying cedar, I dont got that liking anymore.
Buying c2-01 is utterfoolishness.
Better checkout sony cedar.

Its the worst phone from nokia besides x2.
The phone flickers while playing even below average quality mp4 at 600kbps bitrate and 15fps and totally lacks clarity further increased by a poorest display.
Just another feature filled worst performer like my x2.
Better invest a 400 more and buy sony cedar. It can play videos of vga res that too at super high 4862kbps 30fps , and got hsdpa and multitask too.
The best phone in 5k range.

i have thist phone for 2 dayes. Over all its not bad. It can play mp4, wmv, 3gp, with 20-15fps. Camera quality not too good but acceptable. But sound quality is to bad than Nokia 5130 xpress music. Rather both phone is in same price.
