1.This phone reboots, when go to theme, but not every time. Please sollution...
2.how to reduce brightness in nokia c2-01????? is there any solution ??? Ans. No.
3.Speed of this set is very low...yes becoze of poor 3g.
4.this very bad phone,if any one want to buy this, please burn your money,this can be very good.all times its hanged during streaming video through net...msg from dip page 3 of this forum.
5.my phn was switch off once.i wl on that with in a seconds it wi restarted y?.i bought before 10 months only....from jay page 4.
6.don't buy this phone very poor quality in internet..currently m using this phone...the camera and video is too poor...from the page 4 by lovedeep

and lot more friend....if u scroll more pages u can see the negatives rather than positve feed back.
You never regret if u go for SE cedar. I am not a fanboy or else, just saying don't waste your valuable money for this crap.

    Heres the full-review of c2-01 with similar priced cedar.

    C2-01 vs j108 cedar
    NETWORK 3g-
    c2- bandwidth 376kbps , no hsdpa, hsupa.
    Cedar- bandwidth upto 7.2mbps HSDPA 7.2mbps, HSUPA 2.5mbps.

    DISPLAY-
    C2- 2.0" TFT , tilted to all sides and colors are mixed up. Poor side view.
    Cedar- 2.2" TFT, Only one side mixes up colors, that too better than what happens in c2. Better side views.

    SPEAKER Loud. (Music)
    C2- 66.0db
    Cedar- 62.8db (can be upgraded upto 68db changing audio driver)

    SPEAKER clarity.
    C2- poor clarity, too high distortion compared to other phones.
    Cedar- above average quality, better than x2.

    HEADSET
    C2- above average loudness with below average quality. Headset supplied is poor and below 350rs
    Cedar- excellent loudness with outstanding quality. Slightly better than x2.
    Headset supplied is good and costs 890rs in market.

    Audio formats
    C2- mp3,amr,wav,wma,aac
    Cedar- Wma,amr,mp3,aac,wav

    VIDEO PLAYBACK-
    C2-
    hassled mp4 playback. Smooth playback ends after 680kbps @15fps.
    Videos must be below 320*240 and 15fps else played as audio..
    Cedar- mp4
    hassle free playback
    Any resolution below 640*480, (else 'cannot play this video') , can be played qvga,wqvga,hvga,sqqhd,nHd 360p,ultra low hd,240p, vga...

    VIDEO RECORDING.
    C2- qvga at 15fps 3gp, when tested maximum bitrate ends up everytime below 550kbps.
    Cedar- qvga at 30fps mp4. Max bitrate betwen 1400-1600, everytime tested. (Bitrate, frame per sec...etc based on media player classic's readings)

    CAMERA resolution
    C2- 3.2mp, 2048x1536 resolution images.
    Cedar- 2mp 1600x1200 resolution images.

    CAMERA sensor
    C2- below par quality and often blurry and absorb less colors compared to x2. And even lower when with cedar
    Cedar- pretty decent sensor, color absorbing and clarity almost par with great 2mp's like 5233, 5250.

    USER INTERFACE
    C2- symbian 40 ver6.
    Maximum java size 1mb
    multitask is not there along with smartdial and various other goodies.
    Display brightness cant be adjusted.
    Alarm loudness is low.

    Cedar-
    Ericsson proprietory java
    Unlimited java size and heap size. Works any .jar apps of even 9 and 10mb size for 5233.
    Multitask is available, minimise even 10+ apps and the phone continues running smooth.
    Smart dial is available.
    Still java, and you can move .mp3 into music, .jpeg then to pictures..etc only. 'To unlock, enter code' feature isnt available
    Can adjust brightness.
    Can be modified in many ways using software just like using pc suite. Can upload new audio driver, camera driver, display driver,....
    Change icons, install new computer fonts, softkeys with images..etc
    Smart dial feature as advanced as in blackberry os.
    Alarm is louder.

    BATTERY.
    C2- good backup, usual nokia stuff.
    27-33 hours under normal usage 6hr constant 3g downloading (umts,slowest 3g) backup
    Cedar- very good backup, very rare for a sony
    34-40 hours under normal usage. 13 hr in constant 3g downloading

    BUILD-
    C2- tough build, usual nokia standard.No shutter key
    Cedar- tough build, rare for a sony. Dropped atleast 260+ times (lost count) and still no problem.No shutter key.
    Vol keys double as next previous keys once playing music.

    SIMILARITIES
    Both got 3.5mm jack
    Both support microSD
    Both got backlight alert for calls and sms.
    Both are from same price range, under 4500rs.. With a mere difference of 250-380rs between

            Some questions on the Nokia C2-01 (for thouse who have the phone):

            - If some call is lost, does the screen/keyboard blinks (the light is switched on for short time periodically)?

            - When using the phone, can I set the time for the light to switch off, for example to 1 minute, or to 2 minutes (for example, when reading a long sms)? I am tired of heaving to press a key every 10 seconds to be able to keep reading.

            - If I plug the usb cable in, does the phone ask me if I want to charge, or is the charging mandatory? I hate being forced to recharge everytime I plug the cable in.

            - Does it come with any theme with black backgrounds? White/clear backgrounds burn your eyes in the long term.

Worst camera ever a nokia had. and 3g. very very poor internet speed. Just read this forum for its camera performance,internet speed and music playback then say this crap is good or not. Cheap phone from nokia...

                              -Now open the zip file with any of the blueftp and extract the Blueftp.jar and Blueftp.jad files.
                              -Now the files are named Blueftp_jad and Blue_jar.
                              -Rename them to Blueftp.jad and Blueftp.jar with the phone.
                              -Change the phone date to the year 2009.
                              -Now you can open the full signed BLUEFTP.
                              -Set the Application access->Data Access->Read user data & ->Add and edit data to ALWAYS ALLOWED so that you can access your files with ease.
                              Full signed version is preferable otherwise the phone will promptly ask for permission for each and every operation.

                                    Very good phone....value for money @ $ 90 US.
                                    No complains.The built in Facebook browser option does not load...
                                    White looks very nice...but hard to find

                                      i am considering to buy c2-01 as a replacement of my 2700 which i am going to sell to a friend... 2700 is nice but i dont like its clicking flat keypad and quite bad cam n video resolution(my old 6233 is far more better)...im a nokia test drive low/midrange phone buff and wanted to test drive c2-01 and considering asha 300 too!hopefully c2-01 would last long enough on my hands(2700 lasted less than 4 mos)as my 6303c and 6303i, n79 and my latest N8(primary phone)...nokia all the way!!!!
