While playing videos the phone hangs and restarts automatically. It is really frustrating. There is no resolution as of now..I really cannot play video files.. Tried to check updated firmware.. it is not available yet. Im not at all happy about it. Hope nokia does something to resolve this issue ASAP. Otherwise nobody's going to buy this phone. Im really UNHAPPY..

[deleted post]At present the cheapest price for this phone is around RS 5,750. In the Nokia stores it is selling for about Rs 6,000.

If I were you I wouldn't pay more than Rs 5,800 for the device.

Marko, 31 Dec 2010Hey guys, any help is appreciated. My question is, Why doe... moreCheck your C3 settings on the device when it comes to WLAN go to the WLAN settings and click on Options it should give you a list of available options in order to search for new networks.

If not you might have to type in your internet pass key into the phone to get it paired with your home wifi system. The internet pass key can be found on the box of your wifi modem

Quite nice phone for such a low price (Indeed, it's available as a prepaid phone in Canada at less than $100 of you're careful). Obviously, Nokia used tried-and-true components, no frills, and pushed this long-amortized technology in a nice handset. However, contrary to what is written here, my version doesn't "pull" emails periodically from the server while out of the email application, and doesn't support "push-like" email, although it's supposed to be possible.

On the plus side, it's surprisingly responsive for an entry-level quick-messaging phone, and has better browsing capabilities than the equally-priced LG 300-something, with both Opera 5.1 and the integrated browser doing a good job, both on EDGE, GPRS and WiFi. SMS sending is especially fast, and the conversation view is nice. The IM client is nice, although MSN being what it is, it gets disconnected every so often for no reason. The widgets on the home screen are very useful. The Ovi Store looks promising, although it's clearly a work-in-progress, and a Nokia profile is supposed to allow saving your personal data seamlessly. I was astonished to see it could be used for tethering !

On the downside, the keyboard could have been rubber, like the same-purposed INQ Chat 3G. My average thumbs with trimmed nails found it sometimes hard to get a good grip on the keys to type fast. Those very same widgets drain the battery very fast: if you make some long calls during the day, browse the web for a few minutes and send SMS, as I do, it will be empty at the end of the day. Also, we tend to forget it since the iPhone came out, but most other cell phones do have custom firmwares for each provider that, more importantly, removes features, which renders customer support calls and self-help Internet searching a nightmare. Essentially, I spent more than 3h30 on the phone with Nokia's representatives trying to figure out the email issue (which they ultimately couldn't). It seems that the actual sending of a MMS is very slow. So far, the Nokia sync suite has completely ignored the significant portion of us who don't use Windows. Finally, Nokia, seriously, it's really time to ditch Java once and for all on mobile phones, since it only provides bad user experience all-around. Also, a complimentary micro SD card would be nice to have, since the phone has less than 64MB usable memory in it, as well as a micro-USB cable.

Hi friends, just want to know does it slows down on performance on adding the media into the memory card, like some of the N-series devices.

No, it doesnt multitask. It is however possible to listen to music or radio, while doing other stuff. Alarms and calls obviously work regardless what you do. The lack of multitasking isnt only an disadvantage. The advantage is a more stable system + longer batterylife. Less problems with clogged up memory.
