just bought this phone last Sat- Sept 11,2010...
this phone is great plus with affordable prices for nokia messaging plus social communities like facebook and twitter (if you're a smart user).
the camera is fine- 2mp and the music is great. it's just that i bought this phone at PHP 6,790 without a memory card, but it's expandable up to 8gb.
the browsing is great.
well, I was actually choosing between samsung corby and a nokia phone- nokia 5130 and I ended up buying this phone- nokia c3 because of the offers- free PHP 50 load, free sim card, free 7 day trial of the nokia messaging plus access to facebook and twitter and an affordable price of PHP 20 one day unlimited access to email, chat and social networks. (PHP 140 for one week and PHP 299 for one month)
great.

It seems that C3 has been released in the grey market. Dealer said that it should be officially available in the market in 4-5 days.

i really want a qwerty phone. I'm thinking of trading my nokia 5630xm for a nokia c3 but i think it's not worth it. 5630 is a lot more ahead than c3. i just want a qwerty phone that's why i consider c3.. opinions?

C3 PUSH EMAIL - IT'S NOT
Summary
A) Without a Nokia Messaging Subscription you have to launch the mail application and press refresh in order to check for new mail
B) With a (paid) Nokia Messaging Subscription your mail will be checked no faster than every 15 minutes
I run my own mail server and bought one of these phones for testing push email. On the box it clearly states push email support for the C3. Initial testing revealed push email only works when you "push" the refresh button. Is this what Nokia means by push email?
Ok, first thing you need to know is that you must enable Nokia Messaging in order to receive emails in Standby mode. In Indonesia it costs a monthly fee to subscribe to Nokia Messaging. Our initial attempts at subscribing through sms failed (a fault of the carrier, not Nokia).
Next we took the phone to a Nokia Service Center to see if they could enable Nokia Messaging. After two visits and 6 working days leaving the phone in the service center, and them losing our sim card and locking another one and flashing the phone to get the latest software (even though the phone was brand new) we finally got Nokia Messaging enabled. Still no push email. But we can get email is standby now.
Ok, now for some hardcore email server testing - by tracing the data packets we can see what is happening. What actually happens is that a Nokia Messaging server (which appears to partially include an installation of Lotus Live) contacts your mail server every 15 minutes to check for mail. So it doesn't matter how fast the mail is delivered to your phone, your mail server where your received mail is stored is never even checked more than once every 15 minutes.
Of course so that Nokia's own Ovi mail can look good, their mail servers seem to be checked more regularly. But I still have to wait several minutes before I receive my "push" email.
We have done tests using the Nokia 5000d-2 and Sony Ericsson W200i. Both send and receive push emails fine. In fact from our server it takes 10s from sending until it is received on the handset. You will never be able to receive this kind of performance through Nokia Messaging. Even if Nokia's servers did check your email servers constantly, their servers are located in the USA which adds significantly to overheads if you don't live there. My final message is this: avoid phones that claim to be using Nokia Messaging
