Could any1 help me around here? I was planning to get this C5 last few months back. It came across that some shop say that this is not a good phone. But to some place they say is ok. I need some advise. thanks

Install cenrepPATCH to be able to turn off the camera sound. And after you install cenreppatch turn your phone to silent mode or simply turn off the warning tones to dis able camera sound of C5-00. If you want to turn back the sound simply turn on warning tones.

Ok.. So after much deliberation (like most others) I finally bought this phone.. Here's what i think so far..
The hardware is quite good and solid. The metal backplate gives a good feel. Only thing lacking is a dedicated camera button. No biggie..
The sound is quite good. Even with 032 firmware headphone sound quality was ok. After the 061.005 update it's better. It gets even better if you plug in a WH-701 set. The speakers are quite good too.
Camera is ok. A bit grainy sometimes but gets the job done. There is one annoying thing though. You can't turn off the camera sound!!! Any ideas on that?..
Messaging/Call quality is great.
Internet browsing is good too. Opera mini and facebook app works great. And I used only plain old GPRS not 3G..
Battery holds up well. No hanging issues.
So overall.. this is not a camera-phone or a music-phone or a business-phone.. It just a basic phone that gives you other added options. An all rounder..

Sayan, 22 Dec 2010Hi All, Purchased C5 with the firmware v032.010 a month bac... morehey dear 061 far better than 032, so update ur phone. 061 improve sound loudness, office appl., smiley in sms, no hanging problem, no restarting problem on recording large video file.

Hi All, Purchased C5 with the firmware v032.010 a month back. Want to know if the new firmware v061.005 has graphical smileys(SMS) and higher sound output. And also does the new firmware have any cons than v032.010(some feature is missing?)? Please reply who has v 061.005.
