Not worth Rs.8000. Display is useless in outdoor daylight. cheap earphones in-box. sound is very low, all u hear is only hi frequencies(treble). not even works with full equalizers settings.
please don't just run for 3mp camera, 3g or a "smart"phone tag. ask for those features what you use most on a handset, a good display and sound. yes, the battery life is good because of low sound + weak display = low power consumption.

dear no doubt it is a very good phone. and i was about to buy but i didn't because this phone does not have wi-fi connectivity... and for me it is very important.. so one must go 4 new nokia C 5-03..

Some... moreThe story of my C5: Don't get me wrong, I loved the phone, features, build quality, appearance, price, it was absolutely amazing, while it worked that is. After about a month of buying it I started having random hangs or the phone would turn off by iteself, I live in Kuwait where it's very hot and when I googled I found some blogs mentioning a problem with the soldering of the ROM chip which caused the hanging/turn off problem especially when the phone is subjected to above average temperatures. I sent it to the service center who to their credit replaced the motherboard free of charge. Only I found out afterwards that GPS could not obtain a lock even if with assisted GPS and even when I was outdoors and waited for it 15-20 minutes, with the old motherboard assisted GPS used to obtain a lock from inside my apartment in under 3 minutes if I was next to the window. Sent it again to the service center twice and both times they tell me there's nothing wrong with it, you have to be outdoors for the GPS to work etc... Finally I dropped it a small drop (I was taking it out of my pants pocket and it fell on the ceramic floor)and the screen went totally blank (totally white) the phone itself is working (if I blindly dial a number for example). I might have been unlucky or received a bad unit or the early units had the ROM chip problem, but I advise everyone to be careful before buying it, it seems there are too many reports about this random hanging, random shut off as well as reports of difficulty getting a GPS lock even on Nokia.com forum, just google it.

I have used before many phones of Nokia Sony Ericssons & Samsung phones as well.
No phone had given me such compatibility like Nokia C5.Its very handy,slim,decent & fast.M using 8GB Micro SD card(Transcend).
Extremely awesome device in all aspects.
Only problem is headphones given with the phone does not give good output & lacks Wi-Fi.
overall 8/10

Hi, I am using nokia C5 previous two month. Working very well.
Some tips make safe and healthy your C5.
1st using netqin antivirus.
2nd using netqin mobile Gaurd
3rd for make sound better using trusted website for music downloading.
4th go to equlizer and listen to jazz mode and keep bass booste 'On' and stereo widening 'off'

its a good looking handset with all smart phone features but FAILS to a simple & basic requirment... SOUND. if you are planning to buy
this phone ask about the SPEAKER VOLUME first.
you will change your dicision.

I have been using this phone for almost 3 months now,and I have had no major problems with it...picture quality is good(for 3.2MP)...the keypad is simply brilliant,its a pleasure to type on.
Sound quality is amazing(with a decent pair of ear-phones) and the phone is super fast(thanks to the processor) .You never have to wait for anything.
Only real problems with this phone are with its screen
1.Screen visibility is not great in the sunlight,though, at max brightness one can work with the phone(comfortably).
2.Viewing the screen at an angle is simply not possible.
Also there is the card slot but its not a big issue,keeping in mind the fact that you dont need to insert or remove a memory card every 2 minutes.
All said, its a very good buy ,especially if you are looking for an alternative to the cheap touch-screen phones that have flooded the market(in this price range).

Aveek, 10 Nov 2010Does Nokia C5 reboot at the time of changing network mode(l... morethere is no rebooot while changing network. just keep your network setting in DUAL mode and thats all. if problem remains.... got checked your phone at nokia care.

every thing is good about this phone but the sound is
very very low. u can't even hear a ringtone. a "smart phone" with weak speakers made only for deaf people.
