yes u can use whatsapp in this cell but the battery backup will reduce after installing it.

i've been using this fone 4 more than 2 yrs....the periphrals(sensor,qwerty,camera etc...)but not the software....multitasking upto 4 apps....

really awesome phone from nokia i am using it since feb 2011,and till date it has the same battery supplied with the set,and has every key working as it is new.supports all necessary apps..and i love this phone very much awesome camera quality takes really great pictures...
