Hi All,

I just gave my C6 to Nokia Care and they reinstalled the software and its working fine now :D No hanging Problems and also One Good News for all C6 users is that there will be an Updated Version of the Software which is gonna release on First week of November so guys you can go and Update your Software probably by 10th of Nov :D

Get it from Last Sunday, good function but not a good phone. It keep hanging and already upgrade the firmware from nokia but still keep hang and now dead machince, power on after hang it stop at nokia logo screen.. too bad.. Gonna bring back see how and hope to replace for me other model.

[deleted post]Thank you for the information. Careful potential buyers normally refer to reviews and feedbacks before commit themselves before getting a gadget. I am one of those who are seriously thinking of buying the C6 but now have to just wait and see.

Nokia C6 has some manufacturing defects. It hangs often specially in between conversation. The temperture of battery rises. I went to the Nokia care showed them the problem, they changed the set and gave a new one. With the new one there was the same problem. Now they offered me a differnt model and they said that they will send the set to their R&D.
So stop dont buy it now.

But as far as i'm concerned, I have been following all the posts regarding the C6-00 hanging problems, be it on the Nokia discussions site or here at gsmarena. As far as the status of the C6 goes, it seems that Nokia people have found out the solution of the hanging problems. If u r ignorant enough not knowing about the solution, please visit the site again and read the comments of LAITOS @ discussions.nokia-asia.com. The cure is already available, get your's cured too. As far as the frustration resulting from frequent visit to the NOKIA CARE goes, I can understand your stand. I've already had a bitter experience at one of the NOKIA CAREs, facing the so called trained service professionals present at the NOKIA CARE, who are not even worth talking to.

hi all,

finally, today i got time to visit stores. i visited 10 stores in bangalore (mobile store, mobile mane, NPDs, mobile galleria, univercell, ganesh telecom and devendra telecom). All of them just told me one thing - dont buy this C6. they had numerous complaints right from day one. Others who say this is good, may consider themselves lucky.

So finally i have decided to go with X6. good luck guys. I think my phone search comes to an end this November 1st.

I was just wondering, how can anyone tell you the pros and cons of this handset. User experiences vary over space and time. User priorities also vary a lot from one person to another. One feature that someone likes might be a +ve point for him/her, while for you that particular feature might actually be a -ve aspect. Thus, it is very hard to straightaway point out the pros and cons of this (or any) device.
However, I'll try to just put some points, which according to me are the -ve/+ve aspects of this handset.

+ve points

1. A good all-round performer. According to me, the C6 packs the punch with almost all the features a normal smartphone user might want from a decent handset in the middle segment.
2. Price point. This is possible the strongest positive point of the C6-00. being a sub $300 smartphone, Nokia has hit the sweet spot in the mobile phone market, with the launch of the C6-00.
3. Features. The C6-00 is an all-round performer, packed with decent features. Some of it's features are pointed below.
a) A 3.2 Inch full touchscreen display with decent resolution of 360x640 px.
b) Slideout hardware QWERTY keyboard.
C) 5 Mpx camera with flash, capable of shooting VGA videos @ 30fps.
d) A-GPS/Wifi(802.11 b/g) add to the features of this offering.
e) Bundled Lifetime voice guided navigation license from Nokia is also an added advantage for frequent travellers.
f) Decent music/video playback performance.
g) The most important - The price

Negative Points
There are certain negative aspects of the C6, which might refrain you from buying it.

a) Hanging issues that have followed the handset from the time it was launched in the markets. Although it seems that Nokia has figured out the cause and has worked out a solution for this severe problem.
b) Low device RAM. Only a meagre 128 MB.
c) Low battery backup.
d) The Screen. I can't figure out why Nokia has done this, but, one more negative point of the C6-00 is the touchscreen technology used. The C6-00 uses Resistive touchscreen technology, which, I suppose is far more inferior than its Capacitive counterpart.

Some points for your consideration, you can head on to your local Nokia site to compare the C6-00 with some other handsets you like. Alternatively, you can also make some comparisions here in gsmarena only.

Whatever conclusion you come at, please post it here for the benefit of other users. And it's upto you, which handset you'd like to buy.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm gonna get the C6-00 only!

DON'T BUY NOKIA C6! TRY OTHER MODELS IF U WISH BUT NOT C6.
