well done nokia!!!..... this time i really appreciate nokia for making this qwerty based touchscreen phone..... it has all the required features one could get and if nokia keeps making these kind of devices, it will manage to regain its previous ranking very soon...... well done!!! keep it upp!!!.........

Buy Samsung Jet. It's sooooooooooo coooooool. I have been a Samsung user for almost 2 years now. Samsung Jet has AMOLED LCD and 5Mega pixel camera.Samsung is up to beat Nokia.

How much is C6 in malaysia??
can any one suggest to me any NEW or 2nd-hand phone with AMOLED/SuperAMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 600mhz to 1ghz processor spd and a decent camera that is same price with C6??
I think i will buy the phone if its the same price with C6.

my only real problem with this phone is its thickness. It's gonna feel like a mathset lol. They could have made it a little thinner.

I was thinking that the price of Nokia C6 will be Rs 17000.00 but Nokia is try to kill my 6th sense and the price of C6 is near about
Rs 13500.00 only in India.

This nokia ... morei read your post. But what you fail to understand is that the people at nokia are not trying to impress you. They want to sell phones.
If this phone had a capacitative screen, i won't even look at it twice. Whats the use of a touch screen if i cant work it with my gloves on? Besides they are more prone to damage than the resistive screens.
Nokia own the largest share not because they make the best but because they make what the people can buy. The cost/value ratio for this phone is very good. Its going to be a best seller. Maybe out sell the 5800.

Even I was expecting the C6 to have a 600 MHz CPU or more, but it ended up having the same old 434 MHz CPU. I guess they r justified to an extent only considering that if this has a faster processor n a cheaper price tag, it might push all other high-end phones from Nokia like the N900, N97, N97 mini, X6 out of business. It's actually a shame considering that it's younger sibling, the C5 has a 600 MHz CPU. Now I am in a dilemma as to whether to go 4 this C6 with 434 MHz CPU or the N900 with 600 MHz CPU (overclocked to 900 MHz, 1 GHz, n even 1.7 GHz).

Really sad with what is happening right now.
This nokia c6 has a resistive touchscreen with 16m colors. It has the old technology of a slow processor of 434 mhz(like n97,5800,5230,5530, n97 mini)
What is happening to Nokia. They have not even released a high end smartphone from E series and N series.
I want a 600mhz processor.
The thing with n8. It is said to have a LED FLASH!? oooh. really sad when I heard about it. It is a downgrade for Nokia. Look Satio and Pixon12 has a xenon flash.
Nokia have only made two smartphones with a xenon flash. the n82 with great specs but annoying look and keys. and the 6220 classic with a xenon flash but placed under the lens.
With x6. It is Nokia's first capacitive touchscreen since the people this time wants a capacitive touchscreen because you just need a slight push compared to a resistive touchscreen and not just that, it is because Samsung, LG, SE, Apple have launched a phone with a capacitive touchscreen earlier.
Nokia is late in terms of having:
-capacitive touchscreen(x6 is the only one)
-a faster processor(800mhz or 1ghz) Samsung, HTC, Toshiba, Acer, SE and LG have done that.
-camera.(just one 8mp the n86 and its been a year since they announced it February 2008) still no 12mp
-always TFT. they use AMOLED on non-touchscreen phone like n86 and n85. SuperAmoled is on Wave, Beam, and I9000 Galaxy S
-it is too late for s^3. I was expecting s^3 on Nokia c6. Android has done 4 version updates (1.0, 1.5, 1.6 2.1) also WinMo
-Nokia can't give a higher RAM memory and a ROM!
-they do design repititions. like the 5800 XM design which can also be seen on 5230, 5233, and the new c6.
-with n900, it is really great but bad battery life
I am so worried about Nokia. LG, SE, MOTO, SAMSUNG have released more phone this year than Nokia.

Guys this phone is an updated version of the nokia 5230 if you cant see that then open your eyes this phone has a slide feature upgraded camera video and software if you look at the nokia 5230 and the nokia c6 they both are identical in looks, i wouldnt bother with this phone it is having the same software problems as the 5230 and the 5235 if you want a real phone get the nokia N900 or new iphone 4gs which is to be released in june or july.
