Nokia C6-01 is a great phone from all aspects if you compare it with Nokia C-07 there is no such difference only difference is AMOLED size and memory. But if anyone buy C-07 i suggest him to buy C6-01

Ok, I have heard a lot about this phone. The truth is, I am using it for the past 4 months. In the initial 2 months, I, of all, loved this device. The differences come into the picture when you bring packet data connection into the phone. I did just that. This phone, like all Nokia phones, has been a disguise. You, at first, are bound to love it. You will be captivated by the looks/screen/camera. Now, read a bit deeper and you will know the truth. The screen, technically is awesome, the UI is not. That makes it useless. The touch is pathetic as was realized when I used Android (much cheaper, still far better UI). The camera looks great, but you will need no less than a direct sunlight to capture images. Trust me, a 5 mp camera with AF will outperform this FF camera crap anyday. For brilliant pictures, you need Auto Focus (AF)...so, another disappointment by not having AF. Talk about the processor. With a mere 680 MHz processor with 256 MB RAM, this phone will restart, I dont know, how many times a day. The worst part is still to be discussed. NOKIA has been praising its Mail For Exchange for ages now. It is all a fallasy. I used by brother's cheap dual sim phone and there the MFE was better. The "Connection Error. Try again later." error will pop up every now and then. This will then result in a complete hault (no calls/sms/connectivity through the phone). The only options you are left with are two - 1. smash it hard
2. RESTART
I could not afford the first one as it costed me 14k, so, I have to restart it.
With 1050 mAh battery, the leakage is quite visible. You will have to charge it atleast one time a day.
Now, the weight. God, you can make a guy bleed just by hitting it on his head. Its bulky.
About the all "Social" crap that Nokia boasts off...it is all weird. You cannot look at your notifications in FB, neither can you delete a comment or view which of your friends have liked your status.
As I had mentioned before, I also loved it in the first 1 month or so. I then saw my brother's Galaxy Y (a 6.5k device on Gingerbread, AWESOME!), and trust me, the UI was butterflow.
Bottomline: Go for ACE or FIRE XT in the same range. You will love them. As of my 5 year history with NOKIA, all I have to say is...Good Bye Forever !!!

does c6-01 has a flipfont application? thas was my very important appliction,i used it on my ex-phone c5-03, but when i try it on my c6-01 it appears that application was not supported by the phone. does anyone can help me how?? plz, plz, plz,

It does have an 8 mp camera, with HD recording. Fixed focus though, not bad. Phone in deed is very good, but make sure to upgrade to Symbian Anna.
In India region, it comes with unlimited ovi music download voucher.
Connectivity is superb, and so as the battery back up. But display could have been a bigger one.

Hey guys.
Yes, the camera is fixed-focus unit.But it is more advance. Nokia implement EDoF technology (Extended Depth of Field) in this C6-01. Some people say it just a new name (rebrand) to old/same technology, but it is not 100% true.
With this EDoF, it cant take macro shot(near object). The image will be blur or out of focus. But compared to old fixed-focus technology, any picture taken more than half metre away will always in focus. Some say 30 cm. But most say 50-60 cm.
The good thing about fixed-focus/EDoF, it is fast where there is no 'shutter lag' or auto-focus delay. So, shot to shot times can be less than a second compared to auto-focus which take 1 and up to several seconds to take a picture.
Takes note that EDoF camera also produce better video output.
By the way, if you still want to take macro shot in case of so desperate or blah2, you still can! Just shoot the object at about half metre so the object will in EDoF focus range, and then crop the picture. Nah, a macro shot in focus! Lol. Just a suggestion. To benefit the 8 Mp camera and built in photo-editor. :)
