jhon, 16 Sep 2010Auto focus, point-and-shoot cameras produce terrifically sh... moreExactly. On some cameras it's possible to disable the focus for such situations, or they have "touch focus" where you can focus on any part of the image. But with this Nokia it's fixed only. :-(

8 MP and NO AUTOFOCUS? No macro shots? Unbelievable.
Why, Nokia, why?
And yes, I posted the same thing in E7 comments as it's the same with that phone.

A common focusing problem occurs when you deliberately place a subject off-center in the viewfinder frame. Say you want to compose the shot of your friends and the mountains this way. You ask your friends to stand to the right so that they block less of the background, giving the mountains center stage in your composition. You point and shoot. But the camera focuses on the mountains because that's where your composition has landed the focus point and your friends end up unsharp in the print. Call it tunnel focus.
Unintentional focusing on the background is, along with unwanted camera movement, the main cause of unsharp point-and-shoot pictures. And here's a simple way to avoid it — a photographic one-two punch called locking the focus.

its true that will cost 260Euros ?? with HD video recording , 8M photos , a REAL True GPS software with voice guided , free forever(not a google maps)...seam to much Good for only 260euros , anyone know something about the price??

do the e7, c7, & the c6-01 have autofocus like the n8 or not as this site says it does, but these opinions suggest they don't. or is it that the autofocus if at all present is useless?
