Dear All C7 Users & Potential Owners
Here is a copy from a comment from the Nokia 701 page and all who think 1Ghz processor and 512 MB or RAM will work for you...
(Quote)
I have the phone (Nokia 701) and I'm, loving it.
but there's a catch to all the loving.
Many games that seem to work great on my friend's C6-01, don't seem to work as well or simply don't work at all.
An example of such a game would be Asphalt 6, it works but lags and the multi-player makes the phone freeze. Only removing the battery fixes that.
Other games like Dungeon Hunter 2 don't work past the first page. NFS Shift dosen't go past the EA page.
What I can't understand is, if it can work on the C6-01 (680Mz, 256Mb), why won't it work on the Nokia 701 (1Gz 512Mb).
As far as I read, it seems that these games haven't been 'optimized' for the Nokia 701's higher specs, but that sounds a little absurd to me.

So think about it ...

OLA, 22 Nov 2011pls, am using nokia c7 but i have some problems with the ph... moreNokia OVI suite is now called Nokia Suite and you should download the latest version for your phone. It is advisable to have WiFi connection.
For Updates you can either do it connected to a PC using Nokia Software updater, or Nokia Suite. Or if you have a WiFi connection go to Menu ... Settings ... Phone ... Phone Management ... Device updates.

AnonD-23327, 22 Nov 2011my friend bought nokia 603 and its only for 200 euros and s... more603 is a great phone. I might have bought it if it had been in the market earlier. However, C7 has certain advantages over 603.
1. Front Camera for video chatting and even for photography.
2. 8MP camera with dual led flash (Can be used as a torch and can provide video light as well)
3. much bigger internal memory.
4. Excellent build quality (full metal body in a sleek slim & very classy profile)
Nokia provides phones for every one, for every price range to meet everybody's taste.

rohitnigam, 22 Nov 2011in fruit ninja game, two fingers did not working together. ... moreFruit Ninja for touch phone supports only one pointer and that means only one sword can be used for chopping up fruits. I don't think it offers multiple swords to do that. so there is no point for multitouch. Even in a PC when you play with a mouse, there is one pointer and that is used to chop up fruits with only one sword.

in fruit ninja game, two fingers did not working together. it means its not supports multi touch.. pinch zooming is different thing, pinch zooming even supports in low budget phone like samsung wave525. My friend's have samsung galaxy S, and in his phone, both fingers working together in fruit ninja game. so that's why i am asking this.
please explain it to me.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2011Battery backup is not goodI am sure that you are aware of GSM Arena's Battery testing of the various smartphones. Keep on checking their news and blogs. Now if you compare C7 with the test results of the various phones tested, I am sure the battery backup of C7 is pretty decent. WiFi Browsing etc really eat up the battery. you simply cannot compare a well featured smartphone battery backup with a non featured dumb phone battery consumption. The screen resolution, size, the many features all contribute to battery drainage. However, I do wish that Nokia had installed a more powerful battery like 1500Mah or something.

rohitnigam, 21 Nov 2011i m using c7... u said that in your specifications, c7 supp... moreBy Multi Touch, it means using two or more fingers as in using two fingers to pinch zoom or zoom out etc. I am sure your C7 also supports that. Nowadays more advanced methods of multitouch are being developed as in using both hands to draw on a tablet simultaneously. However, C7 multitouch is quite good for a mobile device.

AnonD-13321, 21 Nov 2011Cuz netqin sucks. The only one that didn't cause lag was ka... moreBy Lag, I mean it lags while trying to quickly reenter the phone (home screen). It is however quite jiffy once inside and running. But that lag was enough to put me off... and I am sure will irritate many others too. I felt the lag specially with the Nokia Bubbles theme screen saver activated. otherwise it might be just fine. I specilly like Nokia Bubbles for the convenience it brings.
