Its probably your subconscious telling you to Updat... moreThanks John..have decided to wait a bit to see if Nokia provides a bugfix update in the next few months. There is a list of Belle non compatible apps at the Belle update faq website. I have about 15 apps on that list but they're not critical for me.
I guess the strongest reason to update would be the app updates that would probably come as Belle-only apps in future. Apart from the widgets and pull down status bar, the increased fluidity of the OS seems to be its major feature. I just wish they hadnt taken out features that were there in Anna..a bit daft on nokia's part!

You're right, am not sure the Anna backup showed up as an option,
Anyways i'll recommend you do a clean Backup.
All my Anna apps are working.
Can someone post apps that aren't YET working on Belle?
There are other BUTs,
Then concerning the WiFi issue, that occurred only when the WiFi hub was dead so mayb its not Belle's fault.
The phone froze once, mayb my friend pressed some kind of random code...
Hasn't happened since then and the OS doesn't look like something that hangs.
Played with my friends S2 and Belle matches the smoothness, sometimes even a bit smoother ( dual core to Bellez HALF CORE )
Then once or twice i think d phone rang a bit in my pocket then stopped...
These aren't issues but am trying to be as honest as possible.
Let's Golf2 HD isn't working for me.

u can add new maps by using nokia suite
click on maps at the top then wait awhile
it will open the whole world maps then u choose budy
u can also do this over air by the map loader in the phone

Yeah, thats what I want to do, use the update, not sure if it will work cos Belle is a "major" update, apart from the matter of app compatibility, I'm not sure if they've changed the system file structure..so I'm looking around for someone who has restored an update but most have done a clean update like you, which is the sensible thing to do,am just too lazy for that lol

But i didn't use it because i wanted know exactly what i install on it so there would be no hidden apps or files on my memory.
I copied the '' CITIES '' folder which contained all my maps for 11 countries and my Videoes and Pictures to my laptop.
After the update,
It restored my C: drive but i didn't use the .nbu backup i created for the entire phone,
I just returned The CITIES folder and all my Videoes and Pictures, then i installed my apps back from the files i had previously and went shopping in the Store for others.
But am pretty sure you're be about to use the previous .nbu backup for the entire phone.

Any idea what will happen if i update to Belle and try to restore the update that i made on my phone? I've done this successfully with old updates on many nokias but i have a doubt this will work with Belle.

Thus old installed files go. If you keep a backup of your entire phone, you might be able to get them... or you will have to reinstall the apps.
As for Maps, install the new one for Belle... it's a better one.

saurabha26may, 23 Feb 2012Sorry guys I was out of town with no access to internet thr... moreHmmm..try a new usb port on ur pc..if that doesnt work, try removing the cable from usb port and reconnecting it one to two times while nokia suite is running and waiting to connect. If that also doesnt work, uninstall and reinstall pc suite with a reboot in between on ur pc.
I have had similar issues like you with nokia suite and one of the above has always worked. Btw..i dont know if its only my observation, but on a windows xp pc, i never get errors with nokia suite but i do with vista and windows 7.

secondly after update when i look in settings>installations>to be installed> nothing is there, then how about my apps and games:-) please confirm. thanks in advance

Connect your device to Nokia Suite once and next time it will connect automatically. When you connect your phone to the pc, a window will pop up where you can choose Manage with Nokia Suite.

Speed of the update depends upon your network connection... for me it took about 30 minutes.

senthil, 23 Feb 2012how much size of belle update? then should we take backup f... moreBelle update is about 320 MB (at least for me) ... could be less or more by a little for you. Backup of contacts / calendar / notes / etc will be taken in your computer when you start to update.

To recognize the Maps the PC suite should recognize the C7 first. My problem starts there whenever I am connecting my Nokia C7 computer gives notification that new C7 connecting. The connection Type in C7 is by default PC Suite. However when the Nokia Suite is observed it do not show my C7 as connected. It asks "Connect the device."
Any idea on this?
