Good phone.
I use this phone for 2 weeks only.
Common camera quality unlike some nokia unit with carl zeiss.
Sounds are poor.
The good part is its has a good range of speed on some apps and wifi.
. Covering the bad side of its quality.
. Not a high end phone for me.

today i bought it. nice phone. it has symbian os which is faster than before for its 256mb ram. camera is good. just remove the plastic covering over the lens of the camera..you can buy it.. value for money

john, 04 Sep 2011should i buy e5 or c5 ? does e5 hangs ?If u want a phn without problems go for C5. If u need wi fi then buy this dumb phn.

zayds, 04 Sep 2011My E5 is working for me well..One time I try to video call ... moreZayds, E5 doesn't have Secondary camera, that's the reason your friend can see things which are in front of you ( things which are in front of camera ) , while video calling, turn the back side of the phone (where camera is located) to your side, your friend would be able to see you!

luis, 05 Sep 2011I´ve had this phone for several months but after I up... moreI´ve had this phone for several months but after I updated my FW from 41.14 to 71.003 OVI Maps won't work, the app just doesn´t open and a window pops saying it needs to be updated to the latest version. The problem is I HAVE the latest version of OVI Maps on my E5. Has anyone tried to reinstall OVI maps on their E5 (deleting the app from the phone and installing from OVI store)?? I'm not sure if there is another update coming soon but it has been 6 weeks with since I haven´t been able to use my GPS.

you cant un-install the ovi maps (its inbuilt)
the ovi maps is available on ovi store (without removing the previous one) .. try downloading it from there and then launch the app

try doing a hard reset .. dial *#7370# to reset your phone
even if you are unable to launch the app ... try deep reset.With the phone powered off, depress and hold these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone using the on/off button whilst keeping the three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
PS: before resetting your phone, make a backup

So, my question is how can I set my camera to try using video call?

there is no problem .. it is because E5 dont have a front facing camera . you cant do anything about it except you turn your face towards primary camera

keep a mirror in front of you :P

good phone, i bought it 2 days before after reading reviews, and found it as its specification are described, its faster than e72 and e71.
Skype2Skype call is available on this, a lot more.
Cool phone for a student.

This phone for me is ultra reliable,steller battery life & if you tweak the right settings & hold it steady camera takes decent shots in good light. Never had any issues with it & browsing I find is fast. Guys if you don't like Nokia then go away
