I think your batt3 is just fyn, remember to always switch to power saving mode when indoors. For your update, try using Nokia Software updater,i think it resumes after a connection failure. Update ur phone to get better performance.

I used a blackberry 8520 before dumping it for the Nokia E5 and I must tell you I haven't regretted that action. I find the bb to be just an overhyped brand.
If you're thinking of getting one too, there's no point dilly-dallying about it. Just go for it. Cheers.

hi dear stanly, i am using my e5 almost for 3 weeks. I have few issues. I would request u to help me on those matters. I am from bangladesh. when i use ovi map i dont get detaits in the map of bangladesh. I searched in ovi map to download but there is no map of bangladesh to download. But there is no software update for ovi map. Now i am using ovi suit version 2 not the updated one. And phone software 042.007. I couldnt download those two software becuse after downloading about 30 to 50 percent the phone gives a messege tht the downloading server connection is lost. Now if u extend ur help in map and software update issue. Lastly battery. I am on 2g network. Surf the net not often. I switched off wlan, only gsm mode. Still battery last may be just more than 1 day. Thank u in advance.

guys im bit confused coz i dont know which phone should i buy e71 or e5? personally i like e71 but it is now outdated phone.still its price is higher than e5 despite having low RAM(128) nd proccer(369) whereas e5 has 256RAM nd 600mhz PROCCER. so there shld diffrnc btwn e5 nd e71. what do u say?which phone shld i buy?pls tell me

awesome phone i have been using it more than 2 month
not a single problem till now
battery last for around 2 days i do msging,around 1 hr call,use wi fi frequently sometimes play games...gives awesome backup.
camera quality is very good
in all m loving it ..:)

today my nokia e5 hav a problem after use only for one month..it suddenly cannot charge..when i plug the charger it automatically appear "unplug charger from power supply to save energy"..after that it stop from charging..so i sent this handpnone to the shop, then they said my battery is damage and i need to buy new one..so sad bcause this phone still new...my previous phone, i use for almost 3 years and still working perfectly, battery life still maintain..

My e5 bring my e-mail in plain text fomat and i want it in html fomat. i dont want to be converting it to html everytime because it takes time.
i also want to know how to search for details of RAM and processor speed.

Harry, 04 Mar 2011Look and feel and Desing wise i feel E63 is far better and ... moreI disagree, I do have e63 and e5 is way better, 5mp camera, gps, 600mhz cpu, 250mb ram and double the battery life than e63.
The only bad thing is the TFT, 256K colors display, e63 has 16M.

Good afternoon from France!
I currently have the Nokia E5 in white color (I found its appearance more beautiful than in brown, blue or black) from January 20th of 2011 (I hesitated a lot between other mobiles, but this is not exactly the topic) and I must say til now this handset is really great:
- writing a message is fast and the keyboard is really OK,
- the entire device has good built quality, even if it is not premium finition (hey, its price is 200€ more or less with all it features and abilities, so do we have the right to compare it with handsets that costs the double?),
- multitasking is well handled,
- I can put some bureautic documents and read them on it,
- I have managed to change apps from memory card to phone memory quite easily,
- I have the ability to make VOIP calls and to surf through the web via Wi Fi (the Wi Fi sniffer is well done too),
- GPS is fast, accurate (thanks to the A-GPS; it was one of the reason I bought it, indeed) and I can use it around the world without roaming fees,
- although S60 3rd FP2 is quite old in the market (is this Android's, I OS's or Nokia's fault? the answer does not matter finally), I have never seen a Symbian phone working as fast as this one; sometimes, it froze, but never for too long or many times.
We just need to not ask too much, even if this device is a multitasking monster (74 task running, who believed that? And which other phone could beat it?).
Even mails have been a piece of cake to configurate (at least, for me).
By the way, most part of my datas in my previous Nokia N70 black (OK, it is old, but it still works for my 2nd mobile line) have been easily copied (not all, OK, but I still need a HC micro SD for all my datas, among others the maps and music) thanks to an app (why on Earth does other manufacturers not offer that, even between 2 phones with the same brand?).
Ok, it does not has front camera for video calls, nor (unlike N8) it has a super autofocus photo with Carl Zeiss lens nor hot swappable memory card, but I do not use a lot (if not at all) the 1st feature, the 2nd is used just as a replacement when I do not have my camera and the 3rd, well... as long as I can connect it to my computer through USB cable, it remains OK.
I still have one problem: the firmware update did not run. I know I need to be on Windows and to have Ovi Suite installed in, it is obvious, but it did not worked. Finally, could someone tell me what are the steps to manage the update? Do we need to be connected to Ovi, for example?

Ps: Nokia is one of the 3 mobile phone brands (with SE and HTC [at least, not purchased in operators stores for HTC]) that have a 2 years warranty on their handset, another reason of purchase for me, unless they make it a legal obligation in Europe.
