PanterA, 18 Oct 2010I purchased this phone last week and found it worthy of it ... moreHow is it better than BB 9700? BB970 is an established classy phone. E5 is just in. Further, this is the first Nokia phone where I am having trouble in setting up e-mails. Could you kindly help let me know if there is anything specific one has to do over and above the other Nokia phones to set up emails?

Bought it yesterday after comparing with E72 and E55. I needed a handset with a good battery life for making calls [and this is my second phone (the other one being BB 9700 for checking mails purely and for browsing the net)].
a) On the bottom of the screen an 'envelope' (message icon) keeps blinking. There are no unready sms. Email is not yet configured. What does this blinking denote and how does it stop/ disappear?
b) I am not able to configure the emails - the first time I am facing this problem on a Nokia set (have used E90 and N73 before). Its taking a long time to 'setup' and then nothing gets concluded.

I would like to tell every proud owner of this phone.. if u have any doubt about the clarity of the 5mp camera.. i think u shud click one pic from the phone and should c that pic on ur laptops.. i guess it wud give the gloss of 5mp.. as the screen resolution of the phone is a bit low as 256k colors while the other phones like e71 and e72 has better color resolution.. so its better if u guys can check the clicked pic on ur laptops and then let all of us know,the camera really sucks or not??? would wait for ur reviews.. thanks

yesterday i buy nokia e5 nice hand set features are just like N-series but its E- series good phone wen camper to Black berry

I bought the set last week and loving it. Though I am having a problem with this. If anyone can reply, it will be greatly appreciated. I am unable to import all my contacts saved in laptop through pc suite. How may I solve this?

I purchased this phone last week and found it worthy of it low price tag. Great phone with great GPS, Voice & Sound quality and PIM features. Faster than E72. No hangs & restarts. Keypad is good to type, using it as replacement of Blackberry 9700 and found it better than that. if you are low on budget & want some good business features loaded mobile then E5 is the one for you. you will not regret for buying it.

I suggest e5 is better bet and cheaper bet compared to c6

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2010Hello My requirements are as follows. 1)Web Browsing. 2)... moreLook man If u r a nerd and like using lots of 3rd party application and try to use ur mobile as a pc then I would recommend Nokia E5 as it has S60V3 while C6 have S60V5 which nerds love to hate. However if u are not much bothered with 3rd party application and OS u may go for C6. However C6 have touchscreen which is a matter of concern as nokia is not an expert in touch screen field. Other wise all ur requirements are met by both phone....

I use 5 to 6 applications concurrently such as downloading something from internet along with listening to music at the same time while msgng others. It is the fastest smartphone i have ever used.... However if u wanted to buy the phone for Camera its definitely not the right phone as it is supposed to be a smart phone and not a fancy phone. Nokia has delivered full enuff fast processor and RAM to support multitasking which is the specialty of a smart phone. Sound quality through headphone is very good.
