AnonD-59285, 18 Jan 2013No update anymore. Symbian will shut down in 2016. Too sham... morei'm 100% agree with u..infact u have said all word of my heart..nokia should stop producing cheep touch phns..and bring back the joy of N and E series phns .i am lucky that i hav 3 nseries and 3eseries!

Last 6 months, no further update was received. Doubtful about receiving further updates on this phone as Nokia had discontinued Symbian OS and diverted all their resources to Windows. NOKIA+WINDOWS = RIP. Proud Nokia user for last 10 years.

please how can i protect my phone from virus. and i observed a fluctuating envelope icon on the wall of my phone under the facebook icon and in between menu and time.is it normal and if it is what does it mean?

resurrect the symbian please.. and make similar phone like this e5.. restore the epic E-series legend stories. not every people like touchscreen. i like qwerty, but i don't like blackberry. Candybar can also quite handy in daily activities. With carl zeiss lens, renew the gallery.. i'm having headache when choose picture by rotate them one by one when want upload photo via whatsapp. Make it thumbnail, separate folder, like s40 gallery.
Take my word, u will sell that like hotcakes. And if that happens, promote me as u'r new manager :P

For those who feels overheating and battery drain:
U'r service provider have very bad quality. i feel that overheating, only in 3g mode. phone work hard when in 3g mode, especially in 3.5g (hsdpa). Solution is know what u need. Use gsm mode when chat, opera mini browsing. Swith to 3g only when u need fast internet, like upload photo, youtube, maps. u can stay in 3g only if u'r service provider have good quality. Overheating happen in every phone which have 3g facility, include android. I use android also.
Battery drain:
it's because active background apps which always connect to the internet (whatsapp, and other chat apps). U can't avoid that if u are regular user of whatsapp (like me).
I use this phone for 2 years. Battery last 1 day with 3.5g (hsdpa) mode, whatsapp, text, call. I try uninstall whatsapp (active background apps), internet use gsm mode, text, music, call, battery last 4-5 days. Tough phone.. Proud to have E5 :P

DAVID, 18 Jan 2013I cant log onto internet or use emails.Please helpHave you checked your settings???? The last time that happened to me, I deleted the internet settings, called up customer care, and asked them to send me settings again, which I then saved. It worked! :P

I never go to Nokia Care if I face problems with my phones. I had a problem with my E5 once so instead of going to Nokia Care, I visited a regular mobile shop that has its own technicians. Most of the time, these regular technicians are much better than the ones from Nokia. :P
