I had a similar problem with mine but resolved it by changing my memory card to a better quality. In my opinion I think the phone isn't compatible with low quality/grade memory cards. If you aren't using a genuine memory card, then consider replacing your current card with a genuine one. Peace and merry Christmas.

wow! Nokia E5 is the BOMB... I am not regretting buying it and i don't think i will.
I need a Black Berry, but even if i get one tomorrow i will not sale this phone...Nokia E5....

Why there is no wmv player or xvid player apps in ovi store for this phone.Besides,very few apps are there.Now a days those apps are very much needed in a smartphone.Hope nokia will soon realize the problem.We the users are ready to pay for these.

Hi! I've been using Nokia E5 for more than a year now and I've been experiencing some problems. First of all, I cannot edit my photos anymore. When I click on 'apply effect', the screen goes blank. My second problem is with the Music Player. All my mp3 tracks are saved in my memory card but when I try to play them using the Music Player, the songs DO NOT appear on the list. I keep refreshing the library but the tracks don't get added to the library at all.
BTW I've RESET my phone already with *#7370# but the problems I've stated above still occur!!
Please HELP! :(

This is a best phone that students ought to have been using. Imagine a phone with test editor, both word, excel, and power point. Its OS can be updated from Nokia, and even so many things too many to mention.

Inshort nokia E5 is a great phone at its price tag.
If you wish to buy it but you run at a lower budget or better still you would need to act as a good economist, the E5 is highly recommendable by me as it is a smart phone operating on symbian Os and it offers a wide range of apps. Such as whatsapp, 2go, fb great email capabilities to mention few.

The worst phone by Nokia ever! Not compatible to almost all smartphone apps! Rejects most updates! Should be renamed a dumb phone.

Portions, 18 Dec 2012i wan to buy this phone but im still not sure if its the ri... morego with this phone.It carries all the features of a non-touch smartphone.Moreover,nokia frequently updates its software where e72 doesn't and the price suits its features.

Its a user friendly phone from Nokia in very low price it also includes all the features which we require in our daily use.The camera result is awesome.I suggest you to purchase it...

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2012This device looks quite useless. Same specifikations as E72... moreTo respond these questions. I would not say is a bad phone, it all depends on what do you want to pay and what you get. In this case the equation is very good.
1) Can't have a captative display because the OS S60 is not design to handle that.
2) Same reason of why ^3 is not used here. Processor is low for this OS and also is designed to use touch screen, E5 does not have
3) It's quality is not as good as E72, as well as the price is slower. As I said above, E5 has quite good features for it's price.
I have had an E5 for six months now, and all is just fine. Very affordable phone with so many features. OS S60 Rel 3 is also a very good OS, in my experience.
