This phone's major flaw is that more than 50% user r not satisfied with it due to different different reasons like poor quaility and software n hardware problems etc etc. I am also using a korean made e52. After the initial hanging problem, which i get rid of with the help of nokia care people, i am not facing even a single problem now. Pushmail is great, browser speed is gud especially with opera mobile 10. Browsing is giving more than 1 mbps speed in downloading with mtnl 3g service. Watching youtube on it is superb experience. I usually watch comedy ke supertars and entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega on youtube. Keypad is smooth. Display is again execellent. Voice clarity while conversation on both sides is more than execellent. Battery backup is easily 2 days n sometimes 2.5 days. Camera is just average n not gud. Internet radio is also a good feature. In other features there is adv call mgr, doc editor etc which r nice n useful. I have installed kaspersky mobile security with one yr licence which is also useful. And its cost is just above 11k now. Though i had taken it for 11900 three months back. Really enjoying. Thanks to nokia.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2010Can someone pls tell me the step by step process to connect... moreVery best way to get permanently connected with your home network is, to go to control panel > settings > connections > add a new access point then it will ask you to search the available networks, once you said yes to search, you will get a list of available networks including your own network, now you can choose your desired network name and give the either WEP or WPA key to get the wifi connection...

This problem is very common with all symbian based NOkia phones. its a software problem and once you start getting, tends to come back all the time. You need to go to the nokia centre or visit the website and update your software immediately. even if you erase everything from your handset, the messageof memory full, will keep coming back otherwise. if you are browsing often, pls ensure you have a antivirus installed. nokia service centre normally sucks...the service is not upto the mark...they tend to keep thephone for more than one day..sometime cant solve the problem and infact damage your phone and when you go back, they say, that the phone is damaged and so it will not be under warranty even if its less than an year old.
so my advice is to please immediately take your handset to someplace and update the software. also pls keep your contacts, photos, video recordings and sound recordings in the memory chip, so that they dont get lost when upgrading the softwareof your phone and you dont have to take backups all the time. you can save photos, smses etc on your memory card by default..you need to select the correct options and do that.

Also i've been trying to post an online complaint to Nokia about that service centre but neither could i find their complaint cell email address nor could i post on their website despite repeated trials (http://www.nokia.co.in/get-support-and-software/ask-nokia on this link)

I bought a Nokia E52 in the month of July. After 2 weeks of purchase I started facing a problem with the battery backup wherein the battery would suddenly discharge from full battery to 'low battery' or sometimes even 'zero battery'. Many times the phone would automatically switch off. This started happening at high rate and the battery would discharge within 15 minutes of full charge. Sometimes the phone would show low battery while on charge.
I contacted the Nokia Service Centre and asked them to correct the situation. They kept the phone for a day under observation and apparently updated the software and declared the phone had been repaired and the fault had stopped occurring. Within a half hour of taking delivery of my phone I faced the same problem. This time they said they would replace the battery with a new one for which they took another 10-12 days. Meanwhile I faced the same problem with the backup battery provided by the service centre, after around 4-5 days of usage. When I went to take the delivery of my battery after the mentioned period, I got the software updated in case it had not been done properly the first time. Again after 4-5 days of usage with the new battery I started facing the same problem.
The people at the service centre are so incompetent, they do not understand what to do. I too am clueless.

I deleted ALL my messages, all my photos and videos (I only had a few seeing that the phone is brand new) deleted some applications I never use. The only application I loaded and use very seldom is Mxit. I cleared the Web cache etc. I do not know what to delete anymore!!
HOW DO I CLEAR THE PHONE"S MEMORY EVEN MORE???

I tried to connect when I got my home network after WLAN scanning & it asked me for WEP key which I got from under the router (I am in UAE) and then when I tried to connect, it said, "Invalid Server Name"

Thanks Dra. I got another question for you people. The total phone memory is around 60mb. I've installed applications and such to around 25mb. But the phone memory available is around just 4mb. How can i clear those unwanted files that occupy the space?

I bought an E 52 less than 40 days back. My experience has been anything but good! I have shown the problems to Nokia care and to the dealer. No one has any clue on these problems, let alone repair them!!!
1. To make a call, the alphabets are typed on the ‘contacts’ panel. After making a few calls, when the alphabets are pressed, the phone gives a message ‘Memory Full, close some applications and try again’. Needless to say that no other applications are on at that time.
2. Thus calls cannot be made.
3. When this happens, if one tries to enter a new contact the phone simply freezes and does not register it. Thus new contacts cannot be entered.
4. SMS cannot be sent as the contact list does not open.
5. The problem only gets solved once the phone is re-booted by switching it off and then on.
The after sales service really sucks. The dealer has been in touch with Nokia to replace the phone - but nothing has happened for quite a while now.
Does any one have any suggestions on what I can do??

this cell phone is amazing! just bought one for my sister today... multitasking , mp3 sound quality (with sony earphones), i tried to put a dvdrip on it, it could play in divx player (downloaded it manually) it was watchable but the framerate was less than usual.
then i downloaded the same movie in PSP format, and it plays in realplayer (allready on it), smoothly!
connected it to my wlan, no problems there. (some ppl said they had problems with encryption).
anyways i recommend this cell phone, it's more than worth it's value! ;)
