Real close to getting this phone. How significant is the lack of auto focus? Does it still take an 'okay' picture? Thanks

question, 19 Feb 2010really !! I don't think so,Haha. .i think,only u doesn't ne... moreit is obvious from your reply that u r not aware of what EDOF is, and did not bother to read up before even start whining for the 'lack of' auto focus, making uninformed guesses..
do yourself a favour to first understand what is DoF, then understand from there what EDoF is trying to do for you.
for the record, i am an E52 user, uses a camera & DSLR too.

nevermind. .actually i like this phone. .n that why i got it. .each phone have advantages n disadvantages. .so. .no need to fight,it's just an opinion. .if this phone useful n suitable for u. .got it,if not. .forgot it..last year,i bought this phone,until now.. My phone is in good condition..that all.. (=.=) ..

Ajay, 18 Feb 2010i would like to know if anybody is using E52 with VOIP soft... morethe latest S60V3 release of skype v1.00（02）seems to work just fine on E52, that it's able to call and receive calls without problem.
the only problem faced is when one need to generated phone tone (key press tone), the keypad doesn't seems to react accordingly, and it has no way to switch to the virtual number pads when in-call.

i suggest u to flah ur phone (hard flash) it should solve the problem...

Anonymous, 09 Feb 2010I would not buy anything but "Made in Finland". ... moreIn Greece they are selling only made in Finland E52s and the quality is amazing.The only con is that the back cover seems a little bit sensitive and specially its teeth.

Fantastic phone with very good features, battery timing excellent but camera is not good poor result of 3.2mp camera, but overall fantastic phone to be used.

is this one comparable to sony ericsson G900 ?
(E52 vs. G900)
i'm looking for a new handset and those two look pretty nice to me.
reviews for both of them are mostly positive, except for:
drawbacks i've read about:
e52 - 1. some newtwork problems 2. weak camera 3. bad voice correction;
g900 - 1. low battery life 2. not comfortable touch softkeys 3. weak camera (it's 5MP equals to 3MP and it only gives normal results at the daylight) 4. some say - uncomfortable UI 5. weak CPU 6. too much bass on speaker;
still, i'm not sure which one is better.
g900 is a little bit cheaper, not significantly.
