HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all !
I am verry interested in buyng an E52 to replace my 4 years old 6233 but I have a few concerns:
-how good is the reception in areas with poor signal (eg: heavy concrete walls arround);
-had anybody seen a BLACK E52 wich is " made in Finland"?;
-I don't intend buying a chinese stuff from the black market so I am verry interested in the reliability of this phone.

Happy new year, all Nokia users and producers.
I've used E-series since inaguration and I'm happy with the latest Nokia phones.......I've three.....E-51, E-71, and E-72 and I'm thinking of getting a E-52 for my E51. I'm loving my E-72 experience......soon I'll get this small E-52.

Does anybody know why my E52 is always asking me to ... moreUse a different SIMcard in your phone.. if problem persists you know that's not due to your own SIM card... if it disappears, you'll have to ask your operator for a new SIMcard.. if it's always prompting to connect to internet must be some application that requires the connection.. try to figure out what's forcing it... (replace fabric configurations too)

Hello. Does anybody know why my E52 is always asking me to select internet access (Wireless or operator internet) Also the messages little envelope is always blinking (I erased all the messages in the mobile) Is there a software issue? Thanks a lot!

E52 is the best phone that Nokia ever produced. To date, I have used almost all of the smart phones that they have produced. From the good old friend, the Nokia 7650, up to the N900. From a stand point, E52 has all the things that a mobile phone can possibly offer. You got all the goodies there - no lapses. Hardware is great, ergonomics is splendid, and software is the best. If you want to dump the fella for the 3.2MP camera and other features, buy an SLR.

2. how many months for you to anticipate if the products are the new ones???
*if not all their products were sold, they can sell the older ones first b4 the new ones, ryt???

The bad:
-bluetooth disconnects automatically after 5 or so minutes
-random hang (in music player, calling, navigating menus)
This phone would have been perfect for me if it weren't for the hangs. One time it hanged and it won't turn on again. I returned it to nokia, it took 3 weeks (WTF!) that is with me calling every two days following up the status of my phone. When i got my newly repaired phone, of course it has a new IMEI number. The bluetooth and random hang problem is still there. Sad :(
I don't know if there is a particular batch of phones that has this problem. Worse part is I can't replicate the random hang problem when im in nokia.

Shashank, 30 Dec 2009Good phone, I have been using it for almost a month in Indi... moreHd mine a month now and a few probs at beggining but it was due to memory card,,you must back up what you have and reformat it in e52,,If you takes it from another fone and put it in it never works,,i had this time after time with xperia to htc pro,,n95 to n82 and so on..The back up and other bits of data cause crashes so you have to use a clean card in each new fone,,im using 16gb nearly 2 years now..Have nothing wrong now and ordered a mugen 18oo mA battery to last even longer..

Nokia 52 is a very nice phone and very good in use but has a great bad that when you are in the road trip that has problems with listening to other people not to listen to good aaato I tried all things but without sukases.Une suggest not spend to buy not worth it.

These units that are causing so much problems are TEST UNITS of the First Batch and Nokia is still testing the consumer defects that are found. That is the WISDOM behind not rushing in to buy the NEWEST units but to wait for the later batches that will have STABLE SOFTWARE and better build quality.
SO wait until the newer units arrive with all defects corrected already.
Personally I love this phone because of its awesome battery life and slim profile, imagine having a thin ipod like phone in your front pocket listening to MP3 music. But I am willing to wait until the dust has settled and the phone software problems have been eliminated.

Hi all
I just bought this phone 2 days ago at Surabaya, Indonesia. I had no problems such as auto-restart or hang up. Now I'm using firmware V 022.009 . Here are my review about E52 :
- Music quality with speaker or earpiece is excellent with bass booster which can be found at audio settings.
- Camera quality is good but sadly there is no auto-focus.
- Browsing also excellent with 3G or wi-fi.
- Battery life is excellent.
- Video quality is very good. I downloaded some movies in xvid format and converted it to mp4 with 15 fps, 320x240 pixel and 192 kbits.
Overall this phone is worth to buy. Some people are confuse to buy this phone or Nokia 5630 xpressmusic, my suggestion if you prefer longer battery life, better buy E52. I don't buy Nokia 5630 because shorter battery life and smaller screen (2.2 inches).
By the way firmware V 022.009 is unhackable for now.
If you want good games for E52, just install vbagx (GBA emulator). Then you can play pokemon,zelda,final fantasy,fire emblem,the sims,harvest moon and a lot more good GBA games !

Can those of you claiming to have such big problems include in your post whether your phone is Made in Finland or Made by Nokia?

had it three days and it is back at the shop.......won't charge or restart ...its a pitty because I was really looking forward to use it ..............biggest Sack of Kack ever !
