I got tired of waiting for my provider to get the E52 so I called up a particular business place who sells mobile and spoke to a friend of mine there. He says I should be able to get it the first week of December and when I do I will surely give my review here.
TRF, since you got the replacement E52 unit it has been flawless right ? I presume you are in a strong frequency area so tell me, on a daily basis average, how many signal bars does your E52 gets ? Have you upgraded to the new firmware yet ? If so what improvements have you seen ?
My E51's signal strength is always high, my place of residence and area of work are strong in cellular frequency so it will be interesting to see how the E52's anntenna compares to the E51 in the same locations. I really feel the need to upgrade now...even though my E51 is working flawlessly.
Other than MUADIPH and YESMAN (thanks for sharing the signal feedback guys), anyone out there with an E51 and E52 can you please tell me how you compare the E52's signal strength in comparison to E51 ? The more people I hear from the better.

But for WLAN, This I can confirm against a 5800's WLAN strengh.
The E52 found all 8 wifi hotspots in our area where the 5800 only saw 3.

My second week with the ne Nokia E52. My overall experience is going from bad to very bad.
Poor telephony, weak signal, slow, turns off randomly. Is this a phone made of the world leading mobile phone company!!!!
I have been very much influenced by the E52 review of GSMArena. I definitely wonder where GSMArena found such an exceptional good E52, while so many user have purchased such a poor product. Definitely this should make anyone how independed may be the reviews here at GSMArena.
I wish the author of the review gives us some comment.
I suggest all people attempted by this phone to wait. Nokia should give explanations of the poor performance of this expensive phone. Is the reason of the poor software, or it is of mediocre hardware and engineering (by the way antennas are wierly placed on the bottom of the phone!)

Hello All
I have both the Nokia E51 and E52, when I tested them both side by side the E51's signal strength in both 3G and 2G were always 1 - 2 bars better. My E52 has died before the new firmware was released and am looking now to get my 3rd one! The question is, has the signal strength in 2G & 3G improved with the new firmware upgrade or not. Also I remeber the WLAN was also poor, has that improved also ?

Hi guys, bought this phone about 2 weeks ago. The battery life is not so exceptional. The battery lasts for abou two days after which i need to recharge the phone. is this normal???
PS i dont use the phone heavily, just abou 2hours on the radio and maybe one hour listening to music.

Its design is simplistic by nature. Nothing fancy.
And yes it is fast, the signal is good and it is a very affordable business phone.
You should have your unit replaced or maybe you've bought a clone.
It has been tested against finland and korean made N series and E series Devices, and yes it is the faster phone.
Speed for speed, performance for performance it beats 5800,N95 8GB, E63, E71, etc. and against Samsung and Sony Erricson Phones that are present with us.

I did never had a problem with my Nokie 6120classic. I just needed to upgrade to Noke E52 for having wi-fi, vip. But the problem is that this phone, assumed for business, does not succeed in fundamentals: telephony! Signal is pure, erratic. Conversations are disconnected arbitraryly. Moreover, the phone is slow.
I don't think Nokia E52 is a good product. It costs a lost and has such a poor performance. No one cares about the design when the functionalities are missed.

In nokia page i did'nt find may phone model 0587299 version, but by this method I find and upgraded now.

This phone is really excellent. The sound quality is very good and clear. 3.5mm audio jack.. Surfing the browser is faster compared to Nokia E63. Keypad is big enough for those with big thumb. The phone is not laggy at all. Very fast enough without any problem. You can view flash movie from youtube and dailymotion. Battery life is also excellent. I have been using my wifi and bluetooth for almost 2 1/2 hours straight and the battery bar did not even fall to 3/4 at all. Recommended for people out there to get this phone.
