So far I've decided not to make FW upgrade as it seems that all little bugs are not corrected on the last one.

I don't know why people are talking badly about this phone. Bought it 5 days ago, installed Sygic mobile GPS navigator (works fine,although sometimes needs too much time to find satellites), Fring (works like a charm) and Opera Mobile (impressively fast on this phone).
Battery has huge capacity, camera is just fine for its specs, audio quality is much better than other phones, therefore there is no such high frequencies in reception, so some ppl think the volume is low/bad. It's your ears and low quality audio on other phones that's bad. Get used to this on E52! Keypad is good, screen is very good, Wi-Fi reception is okay. Adding and managing e-mail accounts is so easy...but you must know how to well configure phone so that id doesn't connect through your mobile carrier for data, and always asks you which connection you preffer. The phone is just a tad better than E51.
Had no freezees, restarts or whatever. You really must know how to well configure the phone, and then you will have no promlems using it right. It's definetly the best-buy (candybar non-touch) phone in the market.

To say the e52 and e72 are wanted fones they are hard to find in the world,,i am in uk..Then if you find one its either grey e52 or black e72,very strange???

If you want it to be fast; simply turn of the sensors...
The screen wont rotate automatically but you'll be amazed by the difference in performance..

I intend buying the E52 this weekend itself from one of the grey market stores in Mumbai. Also, i think the only colour available is grey...
And i believe the first thing am going to do is activate my wifi and upgrade the firmware. Hope the handset doesnt give me any trouble then.

guys the e52 is not available through nokia india , and they dont have any plans of getting it soon to india either .. its available in the grey market priced between 16.000- 17000 rupees approx .yes u can update the firmware of a phone which has been bought from the grey market ..hope this helps .. take care and all the best -:)

FOTA - ONCE u get the phone look it up, and its easy to do. i did it- and it did it within ten minutes.

the speaker is on hte bakc only - so i f u haev it lying on its back - it will sound quiet.

Is the newer firmware much more stable?

pacman, 17 Nov 2009Sim why dont u upgrade ure firmware and let us know if ther... moreokkk so ive updated my fw - did it over FOTA - sooo quick, and efficient - there is more improvement, as the new FW- its more stable, hangs a LIL bit less - BUT BUTBUT - its like... 40 % faster, however- DEF not the finished product, but its a MAJOR improvement from the last one!
everytin from wifi -etc - - to call quality? not a problem, however, they need to... improve soo many things on this phoen. eg, the texting soption is not like the 6300 - so if ur textig the same person? you have to continuosly look for their name in the phone book, instead of like pressing "recently used" or somehting
SOO annoying
also, its still a bit unstable and hangs on some bits, like when openin a text message, and trust me - that gets ANNOYINGG after like the 7th time :S
ALSO - the mms? its ok - but like with the 6300? you can do like a story, and send loads of pictures etc in one message this one you cant - and it stops at 300. and is weird. :S
so many more things which htey SHOULD improve in the next FW- speed is DEF DEF DEF a factor
i have a 16gb memory card too, and that was slow to open the music ,etc - howevr a good thing is htat after hte update? its faster... but still needs to be mor estable etc BIG TIME
