I have had the phone for 5 weeks now, and no problems with restart, locking, and so on. BUT, I have a BIG problem with call quality! I can hear people perfectly on my end, but if I am on a call for more than 2-3 minutes EVERY person I talk with will lose MY voice... they say it is like I am talking in a tunnel (when I am sitting in my office)... they even say that my voice all out disappears!!! This is REALLY bad... I am holding the phone correctly almost horizontally to my mouth and reception signal si 100%... BAD BAD BAD!!!
Now, lastly, is it just my own imagination, or do others feel like they get a small electrical shock from the phone while talking??? Nothing really big, but certainly something that I can feel! Anyone else?

This phone is perfect...
The keypad are too soft guyss just enjoying a lot to type...
Camera sumhow is good...
Its slim which i like it in that...
Net browsing is too fast...
Little beat of sound disapoint me...
Just buy this phone guys...
Nokia's best cell phone... just buy it...

Well if the entire board is changed (with new IMEI) then certainly a batch of Nokia E52 must have been faulty.
I dont know why these days Nokia is getting cheap. :| Every model of theirs is having issues. Even N97 has problem where lens get scratched. I am now worried abt my E52. So far it is going fine. But judging from the number of negative comments, I am now in tension.

if you guys are having second thoughts on this then there are other alternative handsets to choose from.. if you want something that has about the same specs then id suggest you get the 5630xm.. same specs altogether and the only difference i think will be the camera (5630xm has fixed focus, not autofocus) and the screen size (5630xm has 2.2 and e52 has 2.4). so if those things are a small price to pay, then go and get the 5630xm.
and regarding the FW version. the latest FW so far is v12 the 5630xm, so if you have bugs or yer FWE is v11, then just simply upgrade it to v12 and problem solved @_@
other than the 5630xm, you can also go for the 6720 (better camera @ 5mp autofocus) or the 6730. and both have similar specs and all that. though id recommend the 6720 because it has a 3.5mm audio jack and the 6730 has 2.5. so if you have some fairly decent headphones there then you'd lose the audio connectivity.
to make it short, best alternatives are the 5630xm or the 6720c.

dian gara is absolutely right! sell that **** phone immediately after u get from Nokia Care, before u regret.. (i sell my E52 quickly after get from Nokia Care) better buy 6720 classic

What i notice is the bad receiving and transceiving voice is because noice reduction system on E52 is nor working properly. Many E52 users have the same symptoms. No wonder users complaint it a lot. You should check Nokia Discussions Group on discussions.nokia-asia.com or discussions.europe.nokia.com
You will shock that many users complaint almost THE SAME; instability, hang-freeze-restart, voice problem, etc.
It's the hardware, not a firmware. So better you take it on NCC and after it get right, then sell it as soon as possible.

My E52 has been working perfectly fine. Why there is so many -ve reviews here? :S
Maybe you guys bought Made in China i guess. Plz check. My one is made in Korea.

Had this for about 6 weeks now, works issue phone, have to say, first thought was this is much better than the E51. Boy was I wrong. features are a backward step. Software is a joke and repeatedly crashes if I have more than 100 emails in the inbox. So slow I can literally make a cup of tea before it will send an email. I away at the moment the minute I get back home I'm swapping back to the E51, boxing this heap back up and sending it back. AVOID!

i using e52 from ten days i have no problem ,restart,hanging and voice issue.my e52 made in finland and it work very fine.
