all 3 of them - e52, e55 and e72 are experiencing the same problems. restart, hanging, etc.
oh and a guy from Finland has his phone busted too, just read up some past posts.
e52 might be a luck of the draw, but it seems to be selling like hot cakes.
mine is made in Korea.
more than 1 month of usage. Wifi never turned off.
lasts me 7 days before recharging.

Dear Al Nokia fans,
Please think 101 times before going to guy E52! Excellent features n smart looks but good for nothing. Coz so far the reviews I have read n the number of complains piling is simply unacceptable from a new phone. My one is already with Nokia care for replacement.
I think NOKIA should recall all the E52 and replace those with a new version one.

The E52's camera have a technology that the E71 has which is called EDoF which means Extended Depth of Field.
There E71 has autofocus but based on my comparison, the E52 photos are clearer.

what's the image resolution of e52 ?is it just the same as the e71's? they're both 3.2 megapix...so are the qualities of both phone camera the same?

To EVERYONE:
For the first time yesterday I suffered data corruption on my memory card while shooting a video with my E51.
I was shooting a video and as soon as I stopped it and went to check it out, to my surprise the GALLERY was blank. I checked the memory capacity and I saw where memory was being used up...1.86GB was being used out of my 8GB Transcend Class 6 SDHC memory card.
Nothing I tried would get the data to show on the card, ejecting and reinserting the card while the phone was on, turning off the phone and turning it back on, starting up the phone without the memory card then installing the memory card after the phone boot up...nothing worked.
I decided to connect the phone to my WinXP PC using MASS STORAGE MODE and I still didn't see the data on the card. I used the ERROR CHECKER and it found the data and treated it as lost clusters so it converted the data as recovered files in the format FILE000.CHK, FILE001.CHK etc. In all it found a total of 5,897 files and each file represents data that was on the memory card whether it be a photo, video, song, ringtone, text message, game, application, recording...you name it. I used my memory card for everything including text messages which in this case will be impossible to get back because all the sms would have been stored in a special file and that file would have a special extension which I honestly don't know, furthermore that special file which stores the sms would have been stored in one of those system folders like PRIVATE and that I didn't even take time to study so unless somebody can help out here all my text messages are gone down the drain.
Some of the files are fairly easy to figure out, like one of the FILE001.CHK files report a data size of 72MB which I knew right off the hat to be a video I shot of a friend so all I needed to do was change the .CHK to .MP4 and the file is converted back to the video and working perfectly once again.
The problem is the whole procedure is hectic, just think about going through nearly 6,000 files just to get back stuff that you want to keep memories of.
My advice to you all is to backup your data on your PC from time to time as data corruption can happen anytime on a memory card.
In my case I don't know if it was the phone's fault or the memory card fault but something triggered off the corruption and I may never find out the reason why.

Any users who've used this phone in Doha... specifically howz the phone available in Qatar performing... I guess its the Made in Korea available here

Are the problems being reported here like freeze/restart/crash specific to any specific country of make? I mean I read in a post that a phone made in Finland and bought in Germany was doing great, while most of those made in Korea were giving problems. What's the opinion here?

i have e52 and phone hawe very bad signal .. and the dust is gomin up to display to dont buy, the 6720 is bether only no wifi..100% tested

There must be a lot of flamers here OR me and my partner must be VERY lucky. We both got the E52 about 4 weeks ago, while on holiday in Bangkok. No problems at all, except that the speakerphone's volume is much lower than all other volumes on the phone (like music player, alarms, ringtones, warning sounds, game sounds). We are both quite heavy users; email, internet, facebook, GPS, camera, but not really video taking. My partner has always had NBokia phones, but I used to be a SE fan. For both of us, this is one of the best and most powerful all-round phones we have ever had!!! I hope all you guys get the issues fixed in a soon to come update! For us it has been the best phones buy ever!

my nokia e52 always hang when you turn on camera. garmin also always hang when you drive on. When you on facebook phone auto restart. bla bla bla

I really frustrated to this phone. it have the same problem with the other problem that been told here. always auto off and even when u plug in to the charger the phone will freeze and restart. already send it to nokia and my phone has already sitting there for 3 weeks and still no news about. i'm thinking of if after i get back the phone but still having the same problem i better to a different phone. too bad all the features are awesome but i don't know why it has cause a lot of problem. huh...

I bought it on Plasa Marina Surabaya on 26 Aug 09. It is quite a big issues that many people who owned E52 seemed almost all have same issues. Unstable performance and Freeze-hang-restart-death symptoms. Should we send a formal letter to Nokia Indonesia or Nokia Finland about this? Too many dissapointed people here.
