i think y'all better choose 6710 navi.. the price slightly expensive but u got extra free lifetime navigator... and NO BUGS or FIRMWARE PROBLEM... I just bought it and satisfied with it

Sometime ago I read an article which said that cellular phones are so sophisticated now that the firmwares have gotten very complicated to write so I'm not surprised in this very highly sophisticated E52, bugs appear.

To EVERYONE:
People people people...please...when you report E52 bugs and instability issues, please state where it was manufactured, the version whether E52-1 or E52-2 and the 7th and 8th digits of your IMEI.

Hi,
Does anyone can help me with this problem? Each time I use my WLAN at a hotspot to view my google maps, the phone would switch over my GSM provider's network, resulting in hefty data transfer. How do we disable this and connect only via WLAN?

I think they may release a black version in the UK. In the Sept O2 magazine the E52 is "coming soon" and the picture is a graphite grey (black) version. Now that not mean much (as O2 tend to get what they are given), but in the previous magazine they had a picture of the grey version.
Here's hoping that a black version will be here soon.

I already have E52 in my hand for 2 mths, and so many bugs arise on this phone (or firmware?). Mine have problems below:
1. Hang by itself, sometimes it could hang 4 times in a day, sometimes not. And i don't know how many times I put off and on the battery just because it hard to turn on again.
2. Cannot mark sms/mms easily on language 14.xx, but no problem on languange 05.xx
3. The sound so low, even I always cannot be woke up by its Alarm, because of so low sound.
4. Problem on 3G/3.5G receiver, but set to 2G band only can fix this. Annoying thing, what a bad 3G/3.5G feature.
5. Calendar is not as CLEVER as they promised. When u put 2 days or more of entry/to-do, the second days or more will not show it again. etc.
6. Problem on what do they call NOISE CANCELLATION. and it doesn't works well, even it produce NOISE on our call receiver side. :(
Solution:
NEED NEW FIRMWARE UPGRADE A.S.A.P.!!

The E52-1 is for the European market while the E52-2 is for the American market or as some like to say 'NAM' version as in North American Market.

I think the E52-2 is the NAM version, but Im not sure. Anyone have any clue when or if this phone is coming to the United States?

Hi Original Jamaican,what is the difference between E52-1&E52-2 cause I bought mine few days ago&it is E52-1So far so good let's hope it won't have any bugs,keeping my fingers crossed

Great phone, the processing speed is quite fast for run multitasking. Specially when copy files, mp3, mp4, video from pc to phone via nokia pc suite. It is fastest among all of nokia e-series phones.

If any of you use VOIP / SIP please let us exchange SIP numbers so we can communicate free of charge.
Also I use Yahoo and MSN so if you all like we could communicate via those mediums as well.

To TRF & OTHERS:
TRF and EVERYBODY who owns the E52. Please charge your E52 in OFF MODE and time the charge please.
The next time your phone battery dies, let the phone stay off, plug in the charger and time the charging process.
My E51 charges in 1hr. 25 mins. which is excellent.
A website says the E52 charges in about 1hr. 35 mins. and that too would be excellent for such a high capacity battery.
Looking forward to everybody's charging results with the phone in OFF MODE.

what's the average charging time for e52?
because i charged mine for close to 4 hours and it's still not fully charged, btw i charge using the battery adaptor.

yeah, I use E52 to browse a lot, really crisp and smooth.
No comment for it's screen size.
the accelerometer gives browsing a plus in this respect. You can switch from landscape to protrait.
Though installing Opera mini can do that job too, but hey I like the default one already. hehe
It's fast for a phone browser since it's an updated one.
You can also wait for the black , since it looks good too. I think I'll get a black one too when it's available.

If you can get an n97 mini, then that's probably a better choice for browsing due to it's superior screen size.
