trf, 13 Sep 2009Hi Jade, Demand and Supply. To meet certain timelines... moreThanks you TRF,

i really want this device but i havent expect that it will have so many software problems because tho most opinion of E52 are bad!

The E52 does restarts many bugs and so on are the opinion of many peoples and maybe 40% are positive.

i was in decision between 5730 and E52.

the build quality is for me important that why i decided to buy an E52. Now i see so many negative opinions and that let me to wait longer until nokia release a black version of this device or a new firmware update.

The Main reason to buy this device was Internet browsing which i hope is good enough with 240x320 pixels. The screen size is ok for me because my 6290 has only 2"2 screen size.

also the design is quite which i like on this device

if i pay 100€ more i could get in few months the N97 mini and that maybe the best way because it have many advantages to E52 with only 100€ difference

i really hope NOKIA will change and improve the problems of E52

No problem GIGI. As soon as the E52 runs out of power just charge it in OFF MODE and tell me how long it takes to charge.

GIGI please tell me where your E52 was manufactured and what's the 7th and 8th digits of your IMEI and finally is it E52-1 or E52-2 ?

      Thanks.

            USB Charging:

Hi peeps, compared to an iPhone using usb charging,

E52 charges very cool, I mean I don't feel any heat from the back metal case or near it's usb port.

The iPhone heats up during charging.

            Though you'd like to know.

Jade, 13 Sep 2009hello all, i have deicided to wait until a firmware upda... moreHi Jade,

              Demand and Supply.

To meet certain timelines and quota, you have to produce a certain amount as quickly as possible to meet certain deadlines.

If you mass produce a certain product too quickly sometimes, Quality Testing takes too short 10-30 seconds probably.

Yes, that's how fast it's tested sometimes.

Not all the bugs can be ironed out during the first batches because of deadlines, but if you can get a good one, you won't experience these problems much.

Try to get one from Nokia Stores and not some grey market product, chances are you have a better chance of purchasing a good one.

Hope this helps in your future decision.

                  hello all,

i have deicided to wait until a firmware update will improve all software problems.

today i have read in the news paper that its crushing many times, connection problems and bad display quality are main problems of this device.

im really sad now that this so nice device hace so many software problems. my only last hope is the firmware update. i cant understand how NOKIA is selling in the market a product which has so many problems!!!!!!

the E52 is my favourite phone and that why its angry me!

TRF and EVERYBODY who owns the E52. Please charge your E52 in OFF MODE and time the charge please.

The next time your phone battery dies, let the phone stay off, plug in the charger and time the charging process.

My E51 charges in 1hr. 25 mins. which is excellent.

A website says the E52 charges in about 1hr. 35 mins. and that too would be excellent for such a high capacity battery.

Looking forward to everybody's charging results with the phone in OFF MODE.

'All is well, that goes Well' but after all your comments and research I bought a E52 in the grey market and experienced all the woes. Please avoid it. It's not only built with extra battery power, but with extra woes also.

haha. a friend took those Nikon shots, it was his first time using it. go easy on him. hehe

for Nikon, some shots he gave it an "advertisement" effect.

giving emphasis to what he was exactly focusing in.

You need steady hands to get quality pics.

It also depends on how you set the Nikon.

But they're there to give reference to people who'd like a comparison.

                          ----

Yup. EDoF seems to be doing it's job in good lighting conditions, mind you it's a few feet away from the Kite and Crocodile.

The Benz photo taken by the Nikon DSLR looks more like a camera phone shot. Noise is visible and the colours look off a bit. Are you sure it was the DSLR which took the Mercedes Benz photo ? I'm shocked!!! I expected perfect quality from a DSLR. I wouldn't spend so much thousands on a lens which gives me that mediocre quality (smile).

On the other hand the E52 shots look very nice for a small lens camera. The EDoF technology really makes a difference. The KITE and ALLIGATOR photos look more like professional DSLR photos compared to your NIKON shots...strange but true. Once again that NIKON DSLR shows too much noise which I certainly didn't expect from any DSLR.

                              e52, E71, 6300 Keypad:

In my opinion, E52 feels better. It gives a more confident click compared to 6300, very easy on the thumb and it doesn't wobble or squeak.

I find that E52 is much better than E71, sometimes with E71 it gives several clicks making me feel like I pressed a wrong button or two buttons in fact.

It's also very stable and well built compared to 6300, where if you click on the middle row of 6300 it feels like it bends a bit.

                              e52 display:

Crystal Clear. If you like the FP2 UI icons, you'll find that E52's display is very crisp, very clear and easy on the eyes.

With the sensors turned on, it's very quick in changing orientations. It can change from portrait to landscape very quickly.

Very useful for web browsing in my honest opinion.

I'll get back to you on e52 against the Nikon D200 cuz we're using the D200 for photoshoots.

Once D200 is available I'll get similar shot conditions with E52 for comparison.

These are all RAW shots, nothing has been photoshopped or adjusted yet in case anybody is wondering.

                                  e52/5800 toy figure pic:

yup, they are almost alike, but for the 5800 we've already adjusted several things and it's set to soft, that's why you can see it's a little darker evn thought it has 2 leds.

the E52 still has had no firmware update and I didn't set anything on it.

                                  But they're both good phones.

So here ya go peeps, pics taken by a DSLR Camera.

As I have said many times. I'm yet to see a better display as sharp as the 6300. The 6300 screen is crystal clear. My 6300 was made in Hungary, just like the version GSMArena reviewed and I do agree with GSMArena, the 6300 has an enchanting display.

Somebody said the E52's display seems as clear as the 6300's but I would have to see that for myself.

I sold my 6300 for the E51...which I'm still currently using until I get the E52. The person I sold the 6300 to is astounded by the screen clarity.

I at least hope the E52's screen will have a higher clarity compared to E51. Because contrary to what many people say, I don't find the E51's screen to be all that.
