And cheaper!
N97 if you email alot and want full Qwerty .
E55 has full qwerty

This phone is great and one of the better and smarter build Nokia Phones.
If you want to buy this Phone stop reading to much opinions here to base your decision on.
Some opinions are so rediculous !
And dont forget the few ones whom complain are the ones that write the most reviews and opinions.
The thousands of happy users dont bother and are exploring the phone.!
Complainers are always online !!

Now im in decision between the e52 and n97 but the features of the e52 are so great like the slim form and the long battery life that its not easy to decide
and i cant wait for Original Jamaicans opinion too

Hi Friends, I have to share some more facts about this mobile. The more I use it, the more wealth of features I have come across. As you must have realised the operating system on this mobile is S60V3 service pack 2.
1. Calender has been much improved
2. Input of data has been made much easier.
3. Internet Browser has been improved to give you a desktop feel. The engine is fast and a very little scroling is required to go through the page.
4. Now this I really love = access to your important data. Nokia has provided the SEARCH FUNCTION. which was also available in E51 and E71. But this time it have been vastly improved. when you input the search word it provides you the file in split of second but if the file is not available it smartly judges the case and open the internet web sites with those words.
Friends, this smart access of data is not available in any JAVA, WINDOWS MOBILE, iPHONE or BLACKBERRY.
Speed is unbelievable.
I truly truly love these smart mobilility solutions. I have been through complaints and complaints about E52. Get your unit replaced if you did not get the right one. But if you get the perfect unit you will fly with joy. Camera is good enough. I have used Cybershot phones from Ericsson, they are not smart enough to judge the object when you take a picture of a bright object with dark background. The flash spoils the bright object and the picture comes out with object lost in bright light. But E52 smartly keeps the bright object in its real colours and brightens the background. Colour Saturation is good. (Cannot say the best). What else do you expect from a business phone.
Just be carefull when you buy the phone so that you dont get fooled with fake unit.

GRABBER I was asking if I could get a copy of that SAMBA RUMBLE ringtone but it didn't go through because I included my e-mail address and GSMArena needs to approve it.

Ring tone volume is fine. Just turn it up to the max volume and select a ring tone that is loud by nature and not poncey and 'soft'.

Camera? Lol. Don't make me laugh. If you want a decent camera, you would not even bother with a cameraphone. It is adequate for utility shots. If you want good photographs, you don't want a camera phone. You want something made by Canon or Panasonic called a "camera". It's a non issue. This is a mobile phone, not a fricking imaging device. What are you expecting? Rich colours with excellent dynamic range? Get real. Even the 'best' cameraphones out there deliver sh*tty image quality compared to even ENTRY level stand alone cameras.
- display clarity is very bad
It is actually good. Compared to something like the HTC Touch, it is "bad". But that's like comparing LCD to Plasma. You cannot compare 240 x 320 to a screen that is 640 x 480 and so has much higher resolution and thus much better clarity. In the grand scheme of things, you will not notice the clarity problem anyway. The screen is VERY legible. I use it for web browsing constantly and it is perfectly fine, much better than any other phone with the same size or smaller screen. You will not get a better screen at this size as the physical limitations mean higher resolutions are impossible. If you want a better screen, you should consider a touch screen phone. But that negates the very reason for choosing the Nokia E52 - it's superior battery life.
- not stable
Mine is fine. The accelerometer can sometimes make the screen turn grey for a few seconds as it flips everything around or goes from standby into active mode, but other than that, it is very stable. The only issue I have had is with Opera Mobile - it does not work with this phone. Problems with Symbian are non existent or so minor I am yet to find any. Future software updates will iron out any known critical issues, of which, there are currently NONE.

My Nokia E52 has NOT restarted once. This is with heavy (5-7+ hours) web usage, which has drained my battery twice over the past 10-12 days. Plus extended length phone calls and a good few text messages.
Again, a few units will be faulty. Like any mobile phone. Build quality might differ as well. Mine is made in Finland and it works 100% perfectly. There is no reason why those made in Asia would be inferior in quality. Any problem is clearly infrequent and I will say again - normal with ALL phones, especially on release.
Why so much debate over this phone anyway? You are coming across as a bit neurotic. If you want it, buy it. If it has problems, get a refund.
It's a phone, not house nor a wife. Get a reality check.

Practically every phone ever made will always have dud units made.
Problems with the Nokia E52 are hardly something significant.
A few customers will have faulty handsets from the off.
The majority won't.
Do you honestly think Nokia - or any manufacturer for that fact - would want to waste millions on a product that does not work properly?
If you want the phone, go out and frickin buy it.
There are far more important things in the world to worry about.
Even it doesn't work, just take it back to the shop for a replacement/refund.
Is life really that difficult? If menial issues like this are a problem for you, hell knows what would happen if you were faced with a REAL issue in your life...

Phone call quality: no complains so far (~20 calls). But there was a call that I could hear my own echo... need to monitor if it happens again.
Camera: not expecting much to begin with... meeting expectation so far. Photo saturation a little on the high side. Noise is visible under low light condition. LED flash is working fine too. One catch is remember to remove the protective strip over the camera. Because it's so small and color matching, it's hardly noticeable there's a strip covering the whole camera and LED flash region.
Garmin Mobile XT: black out display once and have to exit back to main menu. Not sure if it is Garmin s/w or phone issue.
GPS and compass: works great. Manage to lock on to satellite signal fast enough for me... within seconds outdoor.
3G, wifi, Bluetooth and USB cable connection: all works perfectly so far.
Internet browsing: pleasantly surprised it's quite navigate-able with a 2.4" screen... The navigation mode is a nice UI just right for the small screen. iPhone's 3" screen and touch screen are definitely the king, but this E52 ain't bad.

bought e52 recently and the problem I encountered is that images on the gallery shows only those saved on phone memory. it doesn't display images saved on the memory card. does anybody encountered the same problem? transfered thru direct connection (mass storage) and thru OVI suite with same result.

So if you want one just go to a store, look for yourself and decide.
The phone has been only recently released,so such problems are to be expected.

The videos taken at max resolution is choppy with freezing in between.
Also no good photos can be taken with the LED flash.
It is very bright to the extent that the photo you get will be just plain white.
