Anonymous, 24 Aug 2009You missed the point. If it is a firmware issue (and it pro... moreGood point in that some people may not even notice, or take the time to complain. If I bought a $400 phone and it shut off more often than not... I'd want to return it, though...So I would think that more than 30% would complain.

All of that being said, what I really was getting at is my fear of it being a hardware problem, not firmware. If I am going to order one of these from overseas (with no warranty), I certainly don't want a 30% chance of getting faulty hardware! Firmware, I can live with that.

I've been with Verizon in the US since 1999 (when it was PrimeCO) and I've only owned Motorola CDMA phones. My current is the E815, which does have a problem with lock ups and rebooting. This has never happened during (or receiving) a call. However, it is annoying, and I would really hope that if I do end up buying the E52 (and switching my service to T-Mobile) that it doesn't suffer from lock ups or bad audio quality.

It really disappoints me how little time reviews spend with RF reliability and call clarity. A review telling me how great the build quality of the case, the menu system, and speakerphone loudness are all necessary, but I'm one of those (few) who still wants it to be a phone first. If it can't do that EXTREMELY well, I'd rather buy something else. I don't care how long the features list is.

And it still shocks me that, by now, even some high end phones can't claim good reception and call quality / clarity. I'm really hoping the E52 will do that.

Been sifting thru comments and you have to think about thin fones,,its harder to fit a larger or more powerfull speaker in the unit but other slim fones ie moto rzr seem to cope, the moto mpx220 was really bad tho..At some point the only thing to use would be the old piezo eletric speaker which would screech and give you tinnutus..The only way would be to make it taller and use the full width of the unit to employ a decent earpiece..

As old as the 6310i is it seems to be one of the best business phones ever built.

No matter what year we are in people still seem to cling to it. Last year a few posters from the E51 forum said their E51 is a true replacement for the 6310i and just now GRABBER from this E52 forum said the E52 has now replace his 6310i.

I had a chance to get the 6310i but at the time I didn't know the power of business phones so I have never used a 6310i nor 6310 ONLY 6210 but didn't even own a 6210.

My first business series phone was Nokia 6230 and I have continued the trend since

Well...I am straying from the topic...sorry folks. So much for sentiments.

I have read every opinion from this forum from day one until now. Ever since the E52 was released everybody have a different story to tell. Some say the best phone ever with no problems, some say good phone but too many problems, some say worst phone with worst problems.

Hopefully everything goes as plan for this week and I will have my E52 in hand then I can give my verdict once and for all.

                Thanks for reading folks.

It is faster if it works ok. As I wrote - mine does not. So as I previously had E51 my advice for you is to stay with it until the restarting problems of E52 are solved.

                      Hi guys,

I am a huge Nokia fan, switching phones very often and bought mine E52 last week. I must say I am really disappointed by the model.
First it froze at the start up and never started again. I had to replace it and had my second one today. The phone freezes and restarts very often - for one day usage at least 5-6 restarts and I didn't played with it so much - just browsing, going through the features etc.
I read few opinions on the nokia support forums and it seems a lot of people have similar problems. So I am waiting for Nokia to come up with a new, more stable firmware (if that's the case with this headset). My advice for those of you wondering whether to buy one is to wait for a few months to see how it is going to develop, because it looks like this is a huge failure for Nokia...in times of crisis, where everyone fights for the market...really big disappointment for me and my wallet

To EVERYONE who owns the E52:

How do you compare the ringing volume at max level to E51 ?

During a call, how do you compare the earpiece volume loudness at max level to E51 ?

How do you compare the speed to E51 ? Does it seem much faster or basically the same as E51 ?

NYT, 24 Aug 2009Yes, I understand that, however, my point was... if the pro... moreYou missed the point. If it is a firmware issue (and it probably is) then maybe only 30% of people are bothering to try to get a new terminal. The others are just putting up with it or not noticing.

My brand new 7110 years ago wouldn't even ring on many calls with the first firmware version. The 6630, the first decent 3G was also an absolute mess in early firmware.

I doubt the E52/55/72 will be any different... terrible firmware at launch and stability will improve after some flashing sessions.

Of course in some cases the phones might be faulty in hardware, but that won't be 30% or anything near that.

Hi. I am using this phone now. It has a great problem that its voice quality is not so good. Its 3D type voice is very cumbersome.

Its speed is superb. Net speed is great I have ever seen. I previously used N73 and then nokia 6120c. I loved those models. But this phones operating system is intelligent than previous models. I would be very very pleased using this phone if the voice quality is good.
