lado, 19 Aug 2009E55 still in factory. Nokia will release later not 2 weeks... moreI am not sure which country you are in, but Nokia flagship store in Regent Street, London UK got their first E55 phones (in Black or White) last week. They also have E52 (but only in metal grey), so it might be worth a visit to compare the two phones side by side.

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2009Same goes for any cameraphone. If these idiots moaning a... moreHello, I'm one of those idiot kids asking about the camera quality. But regard, I am an idiot kid who RESPECT others opinions. Perhaps you should learn about that. Becuase you are the one who is behaving like a child here.

And this answer is for edvard too. If you do not want to help people with their questions please do not write anything.

In my opinion, asking about the camera quality is just a question more. Of course the main objetive in a mobile phone is talking but consider that nowadays, even journalists send their voice records, photos or videos taken from their mobiles so if I want to know if quality is bad or good I'm in my right to question it.

So tonight when you go to bed, meditate about what you want is not what people want and you must respect this.

Also I'm going to question again, for those who are owners of E52, tell their personal opinion about the camera. And if they could compare with other phones it would be great. Thanks!!

Skip, 19 Aug 2009Why is ebay not a good place to buy ?"Why is eBay not a good place to buy?"

Erm... the fact that you can easily buy knocked off goods and then said conman has done a runner with your cash, never to be seen again.

It basically a more formal way of buying something from "Bob" down your local pub.

And trying to get a refund can be a huge amount of fun when things inevitably go wrong...

Buy from an official, registered business and they have laws to abide by. If not, you can easily make a claim (credit card) or take them to court, where you will win. At least that's what happens in decent countries like the UK and US...

                                So that's the difference.

For that reason, registered businesses will make damn sure they are buying their stock from reputable (and no doubt recommended and confirmed) suppliers as the penalties for selling dodgy goods are severe. It is also not in their interests - consumers aren't stupid.

Joe Bloggs on eBay couldn't care less and can easily get away with it. A registered business can't and it's pretty easy to spot dodgy e-tailers (i.e. no geographical address or tel number, scabby looking site, too good to be true prices, etc)...

The way you can tell that you have bought counterfeit is that build quality will be terrible, usually with the Nokia logo missing, features missing, retail packaging will look odd or just be a plain box, literature will look odd and be full of spelling mistakes and usually, the person selling the device will subtly let you know it is knock-off by only stating "E52" rather than "Nokia E52"...

Basically, I only use eBay for small, cheap items which are difficult or not worth selling on for a load of hassle.

If the items are genuine, they are usually more expensive than most other places anyway as ret*rds get carried away with the bidding and start paying silly money for things.

My advice would be use a reputable online e-tailor.

Saving yourself 5% is hardly worth a load of hassle. Common sense is important...

If these idiots moaning about camera quality were THAT serious about what they were preaching, they wouldn't be embarrassing themselves by banging on about camera quality on a mobile phone which, can I add, is a secondary feature, not the main feature.

I doubt they could tell the difference between a 2.3" and 0.5" sensor or which one would be better...

Sometimes I wonder if these people are confusing mobile phones with simple imaging devices.

They are aware the primary feature is for communicating aren't they?...

I learnt that the hard way by paying for it and then realising that it wasn't supported.

What does it do then? It crashes out all the time.

The only way you can stop it, is by pressing the "stop" button BEFORE all the images load. This stops it crashing as much. But it still crashes. And is hardly ideal. So I no longer use it, especially as the mini mouse cursor is essential and it doesn't display a lot of web pages correctly.

You also don't have the mouse cursor and other options are shaky.

Basically, don't bother with Opera for the E52.

Instead, put up with the browser that came with the phone or (better still), use Skyfire, which is exceptional, but eats through bandwidth like anything...
