Radin, 23 Aug 2009what im really concerned about is the keys. are they so sof... moreThe best phone I ever had for writing was Nokia 9200. I was even able to make notes during lectures at the University. E55 has flat and wide keys. I had SE P1i for more than a year so I got used to this type of half qwerty keyboard. Typing is similar to P1i until you can use predictive text. When the phon has a problem it offers you to switch it off. Then you have to remember to bress twice on the key with second letter which takes a bit more time.

Why this Smartphone not Release in Indonesia?!! i like Half Qwerty & want replace my SE M600i with this Smartphone but E55 is not Release in Indonesia why Nokia why?!! >.

Kezza, 24 Aug 2009For your information and anyone else in the UK, the Nokia f... moreGood opinion, i did a sit down about 2 months ago and decided what i actually use on a fone and not just having the latest top smartfone and one thing i noted was why i got rid of xperia1..It was becauase of keypad hard to use in daylight and texting whilst walking was impossible for me,,so,,altho i had the latest snazzy model in the real world for me was unusable..So your comment on being able to use the half qwerty may be troublesome is one of the most logical opinions so far...

Has anyone in the uk know that where i will i get PAY AS U GO/PAY MONTHLY deals for E55. i looked on the website http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/Nokia/Nokia-E55-Black/Orange/Orange-Racoon-45-10-Saver-%2818mths%29-inc.-Internet/1246878 but they don't have this mobile in stock(even if they say yes while placing order and afterwards will receive mail for out of stock. )

DuPaS, 23 Aug 2009You may be right...it is released in the uk 09/09/2009For your information and anyone else in the UK, the Nokia flagship store in Regent Street, London got their first E55 phones (in black and/or white) on Thursday 13th August 2009.
They also have the E52 (but only in grey alluminium), so if you are in the area it might be worth a visit to compare the 2 "alternatives" side by side.
Me? I am waiting for the Graphite Grey (black) version of the E52. I'm not sure i could cope with the half-qwerty keypad on the E55 on a day to day basis.

You would think nokia would just add a macro switch like was used in moto v3x and sharp gx30 cause this would then read buisness cards ?? The enhanced focus may allow this tho but not sure,,a person said earlier that it can focus at 10 cm this maybe enuf but a review will confirm this..Must get more info on this enhanced focus..The e55 is powering ahead in peoples interest over e52 and e72,,i thought e72 would attract more buyers ??

Hi Friends, I am from Jakarta. E52 was released about 4 weeks earlier in Indonesia. Nokia showroom never had the stock but all shops already had boxes displayed and on sell. When I asked the Nokia showroom they said they never heard of this model E52 and only know E51 which is discontinued. LIARS...
I bought E52 from one shop at USD 350. Beautiful handset and it had all sort or accessories, warranty card. How can Nokia showroom say that it is not their product.
But since its release at USD 350 and today in 3 weeks the price dropped to USD 295. USD 55 drop in 3 weeks. I am sure it will soon hit USD 270 and will stay at that price for atlease a couple of months.
But E52 must agree is the good phone. No complaints whatsoever. I like this model a lot. It is loaded with apps and funtions. I would say well connected device.

Dont be so hasty and nervous. :)

I bought a brand new one from a noia shop in romania and after 3 days it`s not turining on at all. I have it since 05.08 in service. good job nokia.
