I have a Nokia E63... Good phone. I am happy with the same. For 12.5 k its worth the money.
I spoke to alot dealers before i bought this one. They are of the opnion that the Nokia E 55 would be avaliable not before mid of August. As when the company launches a phone they start the Advertisment atleast 1 month before the launch...

The obvious 2nd option to E55 would be E71..
It costs 20k in india..
The obvious 2nd choice to E71 is E63..
Has got everything..Maps and camera are things i wouldnt use..it is just 12k here..
Should i go for it?
Any E63 users here?

You know it's still 2Q. Nokia announced in Feb that it would be out in 2Q. We have until the end of June before we should start complaining.
That being said, if a release date is not announced before the last week of June, im going to look elsewhere.

I was using the full QWERTY key board of E71..
I loved it so much..
I now fear how much i am going to like the half QWERTY keyboard of the E55..
Does anyone share my fears?

I dont think E 55 is going to be released at all..
Spoke a guy in the store..What he said was logical too..
1.This fone was announced many months ago (6 months was wat he claims)
2.So many announced along with this fone have been launched already..
3.No news to even the dealers regarding this fone..
4.Is this phone going to be launched at all?
5.Announcement of E52 has worsened the ultimate fears to me..

I guess they are delaying it because they wanted to finish E52. Not all markets are ready for the qwerty style the keyboard the nokia e55 has. For this reason I guess they designed E52 and in some markets they will sell E52 and in some they will sell E55.

why guys crazy waiting for e55?price arround $345, Htc touch diamond now also arround $350,htc got touch FLO 3D,camera also 3.2MP,4GB internal memory,
HSDPA 7.2Mbs,HSUPA 2.0Mbs,(e55 only win this case,10.2Mbs),screen touch diamond 2.8cm 480x640,but e55 only 2.4cm 240x320,and at last, touch diamond is a good desing and beutifull than e55.

Nokia_ You know not what you do.You are depriving your customers of what they want. They are being forced to look for other options.No wonder you are loosing your market share and laying off your workers.

its coming in d last week of june ... n its priced around 340$ - 350 $ ... somthing around 17,500 Rs.

Available pretty much in September? Since when is that Q2-2009?
Getting tired of waiting... but I guess I better wait than end up with a phone with beta-grade firmware as it has happened in the past...

On expansys.com it says new release this week: Nokia E55
When you click you will see this date:Availability: Expected release date 28 Aug 09.
When looking on the dutch part of the website it says:
Availability On request
