I don't think there is a bigger Nokia fan around than me but one major let down in my opinion is the removal of the dedicated CONTACTS KEY.
That was a marvellous idea because no matter how deep you were in the menus, no matter what you were doing and no matter which program you had running...you could always instantly bring up your contacts by pressing that dedicated contacts key.
For some reason Nokia decided to let the Calendar and E-Mail key remain and remove the Contacts key...I just don't understand Nokia sometimes.
Regardless, the specs. sound good on paper and I may just get it for the record.

I've been using e51 for 2 years now and it is a great phone. The new one looks almost the same, but even thiner. Love it!

This is a very great mobile phone. A masterful device. No regret to buy this one absolutely wonderful and truly gorgeous. A must buy phone in 2009 and best mobile phone in 2009.

sunny, 08 Mar 2009once again a big crap phone by nokia i was wondering why pe... moreAnother Nokia basher! Get a life man! The E55 is a Business phone not a do everything multimedia wanna-be. I have used touch-screen fones(LG Viewty) and I text alot, my next phone will have a dedicated touch-pad. I have used Symbian & Windows Mobile & I much prefer the Symbian OS. For it's intended market niche, this fone has great specs! And at it's expected intro price of €265, it's about 100-120 cheaper than the Omnia. It's also totally thin & pocket friendly!

It's 100mb internal memory and 256mb nand memory. What is that nand memory? Ram or what?

Unless I am mistaken, there is a discrepancy between the specs GSMArena tells about the phone memory and those on Nokia website (http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-e55/specifications). Please GSMArena make the correction. Thank you.

Rankre, 16 Feb 2009hello Nice phone , but is there FM transmitter , please replyFM transmitter is considered for multimedia centered phones, such as some of those in Nokia NSeries. ESeries has a little different target market in mind than NSeries, so there could be little chance if ESeries could have FM Transmitter.

for all others. how is supposed anyone to know hot "that" is like or "that" or "that" when the phone hasn't even been released yet. get u'r heads out of u'r as*es please and shut up!

Nice phone with great features. I'll replace my BBerry 7105t with this phone as I'm well accustomed to the half querty keypad.

What a nice design!
Very good replacement for the E51.
And for the persons who talk abought camera and other gadgets..go for other models that are designed for kids, this one is not for you.

once again a big crap phone by nokia i was wondering why people are giving such high rating to it as they done in case of 5800 and in end it floop as its features are not very extoridnary i guess samsung omnia is much better then nokia e55 and in size if we will see picture it is much bigger than e51 so why could we choose e71 which is much smatter and good looking then e55
