This phone is great for professionals.

We have a roundup of forthcoming meetings and to-do items and e-mail in home screen. Great battery life. Calls are clear. The Internet browser is much faster than before. The user interface is very intuitive. Superb screen resolution (I come from iPhone 4. It says it all). The combination of physical keyboard and touch screen is simply great. USB on the go works perfectly well. Built-in memory and encryption features are good for peace of mind.

Tips:
- Set up gmail account using IMAP protocol > reject the terms of use when setting up gmail account. (set up is automated. But see instructions in gmail settings if need be)
- Sync contacts and calendar with Gmail via SyncML (Connectivity > Data transfer > Sync) Manual sync, but save on battery life and less of a hassle than Mail for Exchange (for how-to see http://www.i-symbian.com/sync-google-calendar-to-symbian-smartphones-via-syncml/)

For those who would like to have an idea how unbiased my opinion may be, this is my story. I am an expert in socio-economics and international project management at international level. I used to have a Nokia 6600 about five years ago. I neither liked it nor disliked it. But, it did not create any particular connection with the Nokia brand. It was to be replaced with a sleek Motorola sometime in late 2007. In search of the dream device, I purchased six different mobile phone handsets since early 2010. I paid dearly for them (a little more than 3,000 US dollars or 2,200 euros all together), for in Asia we buy unlocked devices upfront. I started out with a Samsung Star (S5230w) then a Samsung Jet (S8003). Then, I purchased a Nokia E72, which did the trick quite well. But, requiring more interoperability with my Google Account and a better UI, I changed to a Google Android-powered HTC Desire HD, which I gave away to my assistant about three days later. I went back to my E72. But it did not stop there. Being an Apple MacBook Air and iPod user, I considered the iPhone 4 an option last July. About one month later I purchased a Nokia E6 handset. Now I use my iPhone 4 as iPod Deluxe (in offline mode). The iPod is with my assistant now (she is a lucky lady... two new devices in one year for free). I am not considering going any further. The dream phone mission is accomplished with E6. Blackberry devices are not an option.

I ditched my iPhone 4 and HTC Desire and bought this lovely communication tool about 3 months ago. I need a tool - not a "Game Boy". Cheers from Oslo ;)

I going to try and keep this short. I had an iPhone 4. Sold it. I liked it. Good quality phone. But not enough. Too.. i dont know how to describe it. Just to common. But nice build quality. So then I bought the bees knees, the SGS2. Nice phone - heaps of gigabytes. And thats all it is. I thought the SGS2 would be a different beast to the SGS1. It is a much nicer build than the SGS1 (as in it doesnt creak when moved, and feels pretty solid - for plastic). To be fair, the SGS2 is fast, but man it lags sometimes, it hangs, it resets itself (on and off), it drops out on 3G usuage for internet for no reason - so samsung, so cheap. I dont care if it has the most gigabytes.. -ITS TOO DAMN BIG as well!! It doesnt fit nice in any nice clothes.. maybe in your handbag if you have one lol :). So I thought, after many years I would try a Nokia, despite hearing about the negatives of the N8. So I bought this phone, the E6. Wow. Battery. Awesome. Screen Res. Awesome. (try 600x480 on a 2.5inch screen - soooo clear). Price. Awesome. Build quality?? how does metal and gorilla glass sound?! Trust me people, its not for everyone, but the Nokia days are coming back. It doesnt have 2,000,000 useless apps. But it comes with youtube, facebook, office tools for word etc, wireless N, Bluetooth 3.0.. and all at an amazing price and quality build. best phone I have ever owned. I really liked my old Desire (Standard, Amoled one), but this phone is too good, absolutely rapt. If you have been thinking about being naughty and trying a Nokia, this is the one to try.

Nisha, 25 Aug 2011Oh god... I'm unsure why am i getting this wierd issues whe... moreThere shouldnt be problems with the software update as it's only a minor update for us. I've read your post in the Nokia forums, there is no part 1 & 2 for us. That's only for older models updating to Anna like N8,E7,C6-01,C7

I think it's better you take your device to Nokia Care or the dealer where you bought it. And put a different sim card in the device, see if the 2nd one works

As far as your software version and mine is the same(22.014), I too should not get this issue.

Let me know using which software you have updated the latest version of firmware. I have insatlled thru mobile OVI itself. I dint use the Software updater or OVI connected from PC. Does it make any difference.?

                      Thanks in advance.
